Always get frustrated when we show a bunch of new stuff week one only to never see it again

@StatTiger I think whats most frustrating is the intermediate game point. It wasnt until late in the game when we went across the middle. We also went for it on fourth and long with essentially a hail mary and no underneath route. I get having a guy take the safety off the top, but we have enough diverse talent to able to run hust about any passing scheme you could want.

This is why i love football season. Theres something going on everyday around the sport and this is one of my favorite parts. Thanks @JMR

I shouldnt say we HAVENT but it seems to not be a must for BP. Just wondering if there was a scheme thing to it. Agree on D Murray. He had a lot of putbacks and gave us a lot of second chances. We miss him a ton

@ellitor @cole256 looking at the roster for this year and next, why hasnt auburn gone more for guys 6-9/10+ . Akingbola is 6-8 but outside of Wiley we dont have and big guys. Yet we’re getting beat by teams with big dudes left and right?

Posted this in another thread- kentucky (yep) has recruited 19 OL mostly tackles from 2014 class forward- auburn has recruited 13. We need numbers. We need some competition for OL positions. How many OL will we take this year?

I dont think the dbs have misplayed very many passes. Go listen to Steele’s comments. They played most of those very well (imo). In fact on one where PI was called our db was tring to catch the ball. Idk maybe @bigbird has a different more professional opinion

@StatTiger thanks for posting stat. I lloked at pass vs run on 1st down and was pleaslantly surprised it was one play from 50/50 (including the two td runs, and not the kneel down). The big play on defense stat you mentioned- how much of that is driven by numver of plays defended? (Is the numerator increasing or denominator decreasing or both) thanks again always love reading your analysis

i too wonder if the jet sweep will return (it has to to some degree) but also think it could become an off tackle type run. I would like to see it run with a heavy package, you could mess with some teams with canella out there too (idk how well he blocks). Lots of possibilities to get the wide runs back.

Free throws killed us in so many games past year and this year we’ve done such a great job of taking the free points. Also from the games ive watched and listened to the defensive effort seems to have gotten much better. Keep it goin guys!

Knock on wood but this team seems to be gelling really well. Ive always like mclemore bc of his effort but he was obv down the the depth chart last year behing wiley and spencer. I think he and chuma are the biggest keys to this teams success. Always enjoy your write-ups @JwgreDeux
