  1. au still the dark horse to land the newly reclassified #1 overall recruit in this class. Legggggoooooo
  2. yeah. Probably kind of like Mac as a freshman. But Akingbola already steps back and makes threes. I don't think he'll be asked to do that as a true frosh at AU, but he's gonna have a decent offensive game. Even Bruce in the press conference today said that he's a much better offensive player than people give him credit for.
  3. I guess Akingbola still has to get his visa in order? He’s the only one that didn’t get an official tweet
  4. I’d say it’s 50/50. It’s obvious that he wants to go pro, but I still wonder what type of legit opportunity he’s gonna get just bc of his size. I think he has a lot of things to consider before declaring. Whether it’s getting his degree or just the appeal of coming back another year, winning, and becoming a legit AU b-ball legend. I wonder how much that appeals to him? Bc his best case scenario is getting drafted in the 2nd rd, and there’s little to no guaranteed money there. Might as well stick around another year, get your degree, solidify yourself as anAU legend, and maybe win another SEC title/deep tourney run then go hack it in the g league for 40k
  5. Will be interesting to see where he plays next year IF Jared Harper comes back. Regardless, I'm super excited for his future at AU. Love the way he pushes the ball up the floor. Looks like a Davion Mitchell clone but a better shooter
  6. Auburn is also after this child. A Juco center that spent a year at VT. Would absolutely love to have him because the frontcourt depth could be terrifiyingly bleak next season without him. Either they're gonna sign him or get a grad transfter
  7. Not following sites. Literally following the young man on twitter you dummy. He only claims one real offer but you’re claiming otherwise. I’ll believe him himself over you. You weirdo
  8. I don’t doubt that the young man is a decent player. I do doubt that he’s a priority recruit for AU and even other big programs. From his own twitter account, it sounds like his only concrete offer is from South Alabama
  9. would love to have Danjel back but I guess I'm just a pessimist and am not expecting it. A starting 5 of : Harper Doughty Okoro Okeke Mac Still makes me so amped for 2019. That'd be a ridiculous starting 5.
  10. I’d bank on Danjel being gone as this is, as crazy as it sounds, his 4th year at AU. Probably will be graduated and ready to move on unless he gets injured. Sounds like no more HS signees for this class but I’d wager a lot that they bring in a grad transfer forward. Someone that can play the 4 and 5 preferably.
  11. I imagine the level of competition that Cooper and Mark Sears have played against is different. Not doubting that Sears has tried to play with the best, but Cooper's AAU and HS team both travel all over the country and play the best of the best. And Cooper still shines despite being only a sophomore. Maybe that's the only thing holding Sears back. I don't know. But Cooper has undoubtedly proved that he can ball against elite players.
  12. what a handsome young man. Gonna be a total stud for AU
  13. true that. I'm just excited. Guess I was a pessimist. I'm just happy that this kid's coming to AU. Total stud imo. He'll climb up hte rankings into into the top 60 ish.
  14. welcome young man. Wow. What a class Bruce is putting together and 2020 should/could be even better
  15. word on the street is that young stud mister Tyrell will be committing in t minus 15 minutes to the good guys. Praise Bruce. LEgggggggggggggggoooooooooooooo. So in love with the direction of the bball program. Think this youngster has a chance to be a star.
  16. problem with stidham is that even with perfect protection, he still takes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long to make a decision. He has the arm strength and talent to get away with it sometimes but its still a terrible habit. It's pretty obvious that he has a real problem reading blitzes and coverages and this terrible OL just complicates matters for him.
  17. Even if Sandberg and Willis wind up absolutely looking terrible, Gus could gain just a modicum of favor amongst the fans if he put them in for a few series just to show that he's willing to try something to give the O a spark. Cord looked like a really fast and athletic guy. More so than Willis and he's bigger. I'd love to see him get a few series. Even if it ends poorly.
  18. I feel like I follow the AU hoops recruiting about as well as I can, and I've never heard of this young man. I think Bruce and Steven have their hearts set on young Sharife Cooper for that 2020 pg spot
  19. is he supposed to be a buck or grow into a strong side DE? my guess is the latter. Even though some of the DL commits aren't the highest ranked, Rodney's definitely someone I trust to get guys that he thinks are good enough to succeed.
  20. I’m a really big fan of the kid’s game and think AU is the favorite but I can foresee a scenario where he goes somewhere else for early PT. AU has the potential to be pretty stacked with upperclassmen guards in 2019. Harper, McCormick, Doughty, and Jamal Johnson could have the 1 and 2 on lockdown that year
  21. really really want this kid but I think he's worried about early PT otherwise it sounds like he would've already committed. Gotta think it's gonna be a tough pull with him since we most likely return both Harper nad Mccormick for the 2019 season.
  22. he's on campus this weekend along with a slew of other 2020 five star studs. Hopefully Bruce continues to work his charm because this kid would slot right in as a true frosh after Mac departs.
  23. Seems like this thread didn't even make mention of the commitment of young Allen Flanigan. Son to current coach and former player Wes Flanigan, Allen seems like a decent prospect himself. Four year guy that's got talent and, most likely since his dad is a coach, isn't gonna bail if he doesn't get the immediate PT that most kids crave. Also wouldn't surprise me if he becomes a preferred walk on (hey just throw his a dad an extra 30k in salary) this year if Bruce can lure another highly ranked wing or if someone like keon johnson or Sharife cooper reclassify to the 19 class and want to come to AU.
  24. Only five replies to such an important topic. Shame on you guys. Gotta think we're done at the three with young Flannigan and Okoro. Then all signs point to AU signing Tyrell Jones, who I think is an absolute stud, so that'll wrap up the PG position. Jaylin Williams is a nice get at the power forward spot and Akingbola is the type of athletic rim protector that he loves at the 5. Still think we're searching for another big(ish) wing and maybe a best available. Interesting note is that Keon Johnson (a top 30 2020 recruit) is visiting this weekend on an official. His mother played for AU on the women's bball team, and I checked her twitter profile and she's still all AU. So I think we'd have a good shot with him. I find it interesting that he's taking a bunch of officials during his JR year. Possible that he reclassifies I'm guessing and joins this '19 class.
