  1. All of this would have been moot I think if Harsin ran a QB sneak with a 6'7 TJ Finley on 3rd and 2 to put the game away. I honestly can't understand how one doesn't do that in that situation. Just another to add to the list of really bizarre coaching decisions that cost us games. TJ still could make some good passes though as he showed in OT with the low pass TD. However, that was more of a great catch I think than pass, but he got it there. So again, it just shows poor play calling prior by the coaches. Like when we stopped Bama and gave it right back to them by throwing a stupid pass. Granted, it hit the receiver in the hands so can't really put that one on TJ, but should have just been running some clock.
  2. Harsin is the reason we lost the game. As I mentioned earlier, when you need 2 yards and you have 2 attempts to get it to put away the game. Why would you not utilize your 6'7 QB and fall forward 2x while Tank pushes him forward? Instead you go ahead with a Dive play out of the Shotgun 5 yards back lol. That's just stupid play calling. Blame it on Bobo or Aubie if you want, but Harsin has the headset on and it's just as much as his offense since it's a hybrid mix. He could easily override and go with something else, but it looked to be his call. Another was earlier when TJ got sacked and taken out of FG range. You don't take that risk there with a call like that. Just go conservative and keep the field position. @bigbird You're a coach. What would you have done in those situations? Other than all that. Proud of the team, they fought their asses off and almost pulled a huge W out. Especially the Defense.
  3. Even with Finley in. He's 6'7, have him fall forward twice while under center. Don't line up 5+ yards in the shotgun lol. Stupid coaching cost the game as usual.
  4. What I want.. a win some how some way. What actually happens: Auburn - 0 Bama - 49
  5. Nah, was time for him and Auburn to part ways. A change was needed. That being said, for just shooting some fun... Gus probably would have beat A&M(nice track record against them, especially at their place. would have been a payton barber type game with tank I imagine), and won Miss. St. and USCe games. However, he would have lost the LSU game. So that monkey would still be on our shoulders. That means we'd be sitting at 8-3 in an odd year at home against Bama with the west on the line. You know what that means lol. Again, just having fun.
  6. Swore it would be the Bourbon Bowl against the Mud Dogs. But seriously, I agree with the above post of "who the hell cares" lol.
  7. Sounds about spot on what has unfolded and continues. As I've said several times, Bobo and Mason have faults as do everyone, but they are going to be the scapegoats. It starts at the top. You can tell the offense is a hybrid mix, but mostly Harsin's Bosie style. With the 3 RBs we have, we should be under center more and running to then setup the play action pass. That's what usually works really well it seems, then we go back to slinging it from the shotgun like a Mountain West team and going nowhere. Now the defense is tired and can't get off the field.
  8. Pass for what? The guy gets paid to coach and win ball games. It would be one thing if in the games they were hard fought for 4 quarters. Not do well for a quarter or even half and then disappear. Giving up 2 good leads 2 straight weeks to lower SEC tier teams is bad. Really bad. Also, you have several questionable coaching calls and some just leave you scratching your head, and the Ga. State game really didn't help. Give him props though for helping get the LSU curse off our backs. So not all has been bad, but the bad stands out so much that it really draws concerns if he really can make it in the SEC.
  9. Some grade A coaching from our staff to stop it. Even if you make a change at defense, doesn't fix the special teams and offensive woes. Need to start from the top.
  10. I'll put in some vacation time to help him pack and drive the moving truck. Free of charge.
  11. Auburn - 19 USCe - 17 They miss a game winning FG at the end as we barely escape.

When you're up 25 points at home and playing a team who passes the ball like 90% of the time. You have the game basically in your hand. You run the ball, which we were doing fine in first half. And yes, Bo Nix was on fire first half but you could see they were finally putting pressure on him and he was throwing off target more plus receivers started dropping passes again. Makes establishing the run even more critical. Clock management. Even if you don't come away with points, you just aim for long drives to kill the clock and keep their offense off the field. Easy win it should have been when we got up 25 points. Of course they are going to adjust 2nd half, but that doesn't mean you don't try more or switch it up. You saw we kept calling the same 3 running plays, we got more than that in the playbook. How could you want more passing? Miss. St. threw it 55x and we threw it 41x. We only ran it 27x and guess what, Miss. St. ran it 19x. This game was lost on Coaching as usual.

Where did you get that from what I said? If you know Bobo's offenses from his years at UGA you know it has a lot of under center and play action. Well, when we do run those it usually works quite well. Even some toss sweeps out of the I work well. Now you see us in 5 wide and other shotgun formations being pass happy, that's Harsin's Boise St. pass happy approach. We don't have Kellen Moore as QB. We do have 3 great Running Backs though that for some reason go away after we show we're running the ball well. Look at the first half of this meltdown game. As for as Defense your guess is as good as mine. Their QB had time to fix a lunch and run some errands before finding a wide open receiver. It still falls on Harsin's shoulders. He's got the headset on and knows what's being called on every play of the game. He can either override it or go with it. If last weeks performance and decision making didn't open your eyes then this 25 point blown lead at home epic failure of a game should. Look at that 2pt conversion call. You kick the extra point every time in that spot to keep the game within one score so you don't have to rely on a possible onside kick to get 2 scores. The odds are never in your favor when relying on onside kicks.
  14. Exactly. That 2pt call speak volumes.

Should have just gone with the Steele plan all a long lol. Harsin chokes way too much. It's his staff, he can easily override them. So it's on him and it shows. As I said in other thread, Bobo and Mason will just be the scapegoats. Nothing is going to change for the better. Harsin given 25 point lead at home, and gets taken to the woodshed 40-0 by Leach. If that's not proof of a mid-major coach...
  16. Exactly. Last week and this week has shown Harsin is in way over his head. And now the 2pt call at that time was stupid. Bobo and Mason will be the scapegoats. The problem is not all on them.
  17. After last weeks performance and Harsin stating he had no thought in that game of pulling a struggling Bo Nix, and now this embarrassing collapse at HOME, of all places, against a very beatable MS St. team... yeah he not gonna be here long. And he shouldn't be. Mid-Major coach showing he doesn't belong in SEC. You don't give up a 25pt lead at home. Ridiculous.

Might be a sound move since Lance Harbor blew out his knee. Had really high hopes for that recruit.
  19. Sounds good. Really nothing to play for except a better destination spot for a Bowl game. Anything be more fun to watch that than whatever that was yesterday calling itself an offense lol.
  20. As I said before many times, I honestly don't care who the QB is as long as they are the one that is giving us the best shot to win. Anyone who suits up in the Orange and Blue is gonna get cheered. Bo Nix is average at best QB who everyone seems to want to be something that he is clearly not. That doesn't mean I don't cheer for him. I want us to win. But clearly Bo was not the best option yesterday for us to win. His on the road issues made their way out again and well he should have been pulled and TJ put in as in the GA St game and in a series in LSU game. It seemed in the LSU game it woke Bo up and when he got back in he balled it out for us to win. Maybe yesterday that could have happened as well who knows, but keeping a guy in who was clearly struggling was flat out the wrong call. Especially with the West still in our hands at the time. Harsin has shown to be better than that, so to not even consider a change is pretty head-shaking. If you put TJ in and we still lost, so what. At least we would have attempted a change. Keeping in Bo was a guaranteed loss anyway as it showed.
  21. As usual Bo Nix on the road costs us the game. Dude is so bipolar. Damn.
  22. Absolutely. I'd pay a whole lot of money to see that matchup. Imagine in todays OT rules where you line up for 2pts after 2nd OT lol. With Cam and Dyer for 2010 and Ronnie and Cadillac for 2004... we talking what 50+ OTs? lol.
  23. That 2004 team was so damn good. Legit claim there. Them and 2010 team were just all around fun to watch and something to be proud of as a fan. I always joke that if you put 2004 team vs 2010 team the game would probably still be going on as they both refused to lose lol.
