Depends. My dad, my dad’s dad, and so on all played Mike Linebacker so it was a weird point of pride. I played more Safety because I wasn’t big enough to take on blockers and I liked the vision of the field and play better. He might like the leadership and ability to read better at the second level. I’m sure there’s some reasoning.

This is one of those “let them try and then put them at Jack anyways” deals to me. He would need to thin down a little for ILB. We’ll see.

Time for more 2024 threads. Listed at 6’2.5” 268 lbs he’s likely more of a defensive end prospect depending on how he fills out. He is ranked as the #40 DL in the country, #24 player in Alabama, and #418 nationally. Other offers include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Clemson, and 32 others including most of the SEC.

Programming note, took today off work because only 3 days can roll over and I have 12 saved up lol. I’m going to try and make a more thorough 2024 board now that the 2023 class is finally complete barring a surprise.

I don’t know the specifics of our roster but I like Dumas more than a number of kids we’ll have on scholarship.

There have been times over the last few year I wished we’d at least be chippy even if we’re not good lol. Steve Smith for the Panthers was a lot of fun with a lot of fire.
