  1. Dumb article. We had massed shoulder to shoulder protesting for six months last year when there was no vaccine and very little natural immunity in the population and we were all assured that it didn't spread covid. Why are we gatekeeping football games 14 months later when two thirds of the population has either had the virus, been vaccinated, or both?
  2. We will win one of Penn State and LSU. We will lose one of Miss State, Arkansas, or South Cackalacky. We will lose to Georgia, bammer, Ole Miss, TAMU. I guess that makes us 6-6. Honestly I just want to see something different than last year. Like we should look like we've played football before when the season starts and have something in the tank for November.
  3. What BH said is only controversial among the journalist class and the permanently aggrieved who reside on places like Twitter and Reddit. Unfortunately these people are also the loudest complainers.
  4. There's two ideas floating around the message boards right now. Both have four pods with four teams each. 1) You play everyone else in your pod and two games each against the other three pods. You would play everyone else home and away every four years but certain longstanding series would be played every other year instead of every hear. Decent chance we don't play Georgia every year under this one. 2) You play everyone in your pod, have one permanent opponent in the other three pods, and then rotate the remaining three games in a different pod every year. Would hold together most old rivalries but you would see every stadium every six seasons instead of every four. Would also only swap out three games YoY instead of six.
  5. Weird to say but I am actually very excited about this and what it will do to the schedule. No way the East/West format survives. We will have to go to four team pods or no divisions and three or four protected games instead.
  6. I've honestly given up on us ever winning down there again. I am resigned that I will die without having seen Auburn win in Baton Rouge. I'm 30 btw.
  7. I thought we were the best team in the country after this game, it was a pounding of the highest order. Bo Nix may eventually eclipse him but I think Nick Marshall is the best quarterback Gus has had as a head coach. I am willing to die on this hill.
  8. Does Myles Garrett play again this season? Does he ever play again period?
  9. Bo can't keep staring down the first read on a pass. He did it on the first INT when Eli Stove was open for a touchdown and he did it on the second INT when he should have thrown it into the stands.
  10. God forbid we put someone out there on offense who's fired up and has something to prove.
  11. Not the first time I've said this, but that's a pretty sobering offensive report. I've been very critical of the coaching on this board and others for a very long time and I'm trying very hard to give the benefit of the doubt early in the season. But man, it's really really hard not to see the same deficiencies and predictability as last year. If this doesn't improve and we have the same results as last year the drumbeat from fans and writers is going to be deafening. If not now, then when? Probably not in 2020 with all the parts we have to replace.
  12. AB may be the stupidest person alive. If I was getting paid $30 million I'd let my boss do or say almost anything to me short of taking my organs.
