  1. 9PM at LSU? You gotta be kidding. The coonasses are going to be liquored up beyond all belief and they'll beat us 13-12 in a monsoon summoned by a witch doctor with gator entrails.
  2. I think you by and large have excellent posts but this aint it dude. Gus gets routed from this game 10 times out of 10. We were also 10/17 on third down. When was the last time Gus put up third down numbers like that on the road for Auburn against a competent team? We weren't even that good on third down in 2014 when we rang up 44 on Alabama.
  3. Few coaches are winning these sorts of games in year one. Even Kirby and Saban were woeful in year one. It will probably be 2023 before we know if this staff can get us in championship contention. Bo does need more zip on these intermediate throws. It reminds me of a golfer who struggles with six foot putts because they're afraid to strike the ball with conviction. Gus gets blown out of this game and his offense would have flatlined after the turnover. We recruit a few decent tackles, receivers, and a pass rusher into this culture and we'll be pretty good.
  4. Maybe I'm drunk (I'm totally drunk) but I'm not thinking the sky is falling like some are. That fourth down call was bad. Not feeding Tank and Jarquez more carries was questionable. But man, Gus gets BLOWN THE FRICK OUT of this game especially after that turnover to start the third quarter. We showed fight, we showed a lot of mental toughness. I never thought we were out of it even though we trailed the whole second half. We will continue to improve, but much of our deficiencies are systemic and not this staff's fault. We have a million guards but no tackles. We desperately need a #1 receiver or three, we need a pass rusher or two, and we need to not play zone on defense when you have the guys we have at linebacker and DB. Unfortunately personnel issues are like building a navy. You can't just wake up one day and decide you need linemen, a beast receiver, and a pass rusher. You have to recruit these guys and put them in the weight room for a year or two before you see returns. I am excited for the rest of the year. We will give Georgia and Alabama good games and we will go to Tiger Stadium and win in two weeks.
  5. Man what a relief to not be on the receiving end of #GusBall. It's certainly more entertaining when it's not your team he's coaching. Why the hell didn't he run it up the middle three times and kick a field goal? They were running at will in the second half.
  6. Good points all around. The one thing we have going for us this time is a head coach and OC with a clue. Harsin and Bobo won't call the same plays over and over when he's flailing around and we now have a backup who can come in if things are really bad. We're going to see designed rollouts, tight end dump offs, and of course a heavy dose of 4, 8 (if available), and 27.
  7. Homer me says we win 20-17. Pessimistic Auburn fan me says we lose 20-10 because we haven't won a big road game since the Van Buren administration.
  8. Luke Fickell. The current AD hired him at Cincy.
  9. Seeing Bo move through a progression and hit a check down for eight yards was like having an out of body experience. Is this what a modern offense looks like?
  10. First game out of Auburn and Gus pulls the biggest comeback of his career out of his ass. Gus will be in trouble when Dillon Gabriel exhausts his eligibility. He looked like Nick Marshall extending plays all night.
  11. Auburn - 48 LeBrons - 13 Offense looks a bit disjointed to start but asserts itself on the second possession and starts scoring. Akron adds a few meaningless scores in the second half. Nix goes 17-24, 250, 2TDs. We will spend the week after overanalyzing his footwork.
  12. It was 83 this afternoon in N Florida and I mowed my lawn without becoming a sweaty disgusting mess. That's as close to nip as it's gonna get for another six weeks here.
  13. Yeah I don't get it either. Three vaccinated senators came out yesterday saying they had it. I don't understand why people think you can't encounter the virus if you're vaccinated. Jon Rahm supposedly had it twice in three months and he got vaccinated and won the US Open in the middle of this time period and he was never sick.
  14. To add to this: Psaki said earlier that there are still ELEVEN THOUSAND Americans still in Afghanistan not to mention the tens of thousands of Afghans who are going to be rounded up and executed in the next few weeks for aiding us. You literally could not have screwed this up worse if you tried.
  15. This is how you get better when you don't have 5* players crowding your bench.
  16. We all knew the OL wasn't going to be fixed in a single off season. Being respectable at run blocking and at least knowing the assignments on passing downs will be an improvement. Lord willing we will get better playcalling from Bobo to mask these issues in pass protection. He doesn't have to be Dan Mullen against us in '19 but cutting out the plays that take four seconds to develop with no hot read is a start.
  17. There are 75 million people in America under the age of 18. 350 have been killed by Covid-19 since the start of 2020. The risk to kids is as close to zero as you can get if your kid doesn't have cancer or awaiting an organ transplant. Kids have a better chance of dying in car accidents or from drowning than they do from Covid.
