This thread shows me that people have been on social media reading about how the University of Alabama has more NFL draft picks than Auburn. Nothing more, nothing less. In the 1980's, Auburn and Miami had the most NFL draft picks. Moving forward, Auburn is going to have more NFL draft picks than they have had in the past 10 years if we stick with Hugh Freeze who has been recruiting and raising the money to recruit. Alabama is going to have less NFL draft picks. Everyone with money will be getting players who can play in the NFL.

It doesn't matter really. Just to get a real shot and real money with an NFL team is a dream come true for any QB. You have reached a pinnacle many will fall short of.

What are you saying is understood. I have similar feelings. But what did you say about him while he was at Auburn. I didn't say a word because the whole team wasn't living up to my expectation and I was frustrated with Gus offense and recruiting of linemen. I sure wasn't going to single a out a guy who was inconsistent and who was making great plays for Auburn!

He was INCREDIBLE. His deep ball and intermediate passing accuracy was fantastic. His arm was strong! He looked like an prototypical NFL QB.

I thought he was a good college QB. I would like to think Harsin drove him away more so than critical fans. There were people on Bill Cameron's show that need to fess up' they were wrong about Bo. I did not expect him to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. Congrats Bo!

WR overall has definitely been upgraded. I'm not referring to any particular moderator or forum. I certainly didn't have you in mind when I wrote this. I don't know what you have said. Our roster is better. Still, let us not over hype what we just got. I am excited about the direction. I just don't want to see Auburn be its worst enemy when Hugh does some bad coaching. There are a lot of coaches having bad games repeatedly. There aren't many great ones out there.

I think your assessment is fair. AU moderators are trying to lead a conversation that getting Lambert transforms our team. We are still a seven win team. I think expectations need to be held in check this year again. We have a better roster, but it has to be coordinated into a cohesive unit. The world is in chaos and football is like life. It is hard to get a handle on things without elite leadership and supreme fire power.

That is a win. I can't believe we outbid TAM with NIL. This is an old fashioned recruiting win based on relationships. This is different from getting unknown guys from North Texas, Hawaii, and small schools. We know the portal now.

Not denying he is in the portal or that he can run and catch the ball. Not denying he would be a good replacement for some of our 2 star players. Yet, how much are they going to pay? Penn State is not paying. He is no Cameron Coleman or Perry Thomas and I don't think we will pay him what we are paying them. Yet, it sounds like he is asking for that. That is what I'm saying.

Brenton leaving doesn't sting. It says there are better players and he wasn't going to make the rotation. All of those schools that originally offered are mediocre. Hard to find a good player in the shuffling of these mediocre players. It is like going to the thrift store. You might find something that could do you some good and/or you can get it for cheap.
