Harsin is recruiting his ass off, but that is not how you beat Alabama and Georgia in recruiting. First, you have authority over the NCAA and second you threaten Georgia and Alabama to turn them in if they interfere with your recruiting. When Dye coached, you get someone on probation by reporting them. Behind the scenes, Dye threatened the opposition not to interfere with his recruiting and he wouldn't interfere with their recruiting. Now, the NCAA is run by Saban and Kirby is getting to do what he wants. A recruiter wins at the highest levels before he even gets to the player. This is why Dye wanted Kirby. Kirby would not be at Georgia cheating and we would have had the goods on Saban. Now, Kirby would have not had any sway with the NCAA. Still, I hope you get my point in the skills we should be looking for in a coach.

Wow. One game is all it takes. You are not even looking at the bigger issue and that is Mason teaching our players how to play zone defense and getting zero pass rush. We are at last in the country in defending the pass.

Terry Bowden talk from 1998 to 2005 was incredibly intense. There were so many comments about how short he was and then how fat he was. They also talked about his bad recruiting, he's affairs, his misuse of Steve Davis. A lot of fakers also said he was a bad offensive coordinator. People talking about Gus has many years to go before it rivals people talking about Terry Bowden.

I think we over reacted. They were sloppy, but they were close.

I felt the same way, but until you see them do it. This is a real coached team. Just needed to make tweaks. Play calling is unpredictable.
