Been some rumors going around in Auburn that Carnell is under some type of investigation. So it's more than just some Alabama boards talking about it. Hoke seemed to address them, then delete his post and is actively deleting any posts about them.

It's pretty clear Robert's tweet was about Hugh. They didn't get along. Some players liked him (Asante) and some coaches/groups had some issues. DBs. Similar to Harsin, he had players that supported him and ones that didn't. Both sides pretty heavily. If they didn't get along he's better not here, which is the case now. Hopefully nothing deeper than that.

Yeah, when you posted about who does it, it made me think if we even had anyone designated as such. Maybe we don't need to with more off the field staff vs old times? That's a lot for one coach to do in addition to on the field work. Hugh needs to delegate to be successful. He tried this year and failed on offense but succeeded off-the-field with the 2024 class and foundation fro '25. Gotta find that right balance. Hopefully we get that blend

What's the average tenure for a coordinator under Saban? HC should set stability overall, but it's also different with coaches leaving for better opportunities vs firing them. What's more, I believe most that were fired lasted for more than a season. Golding, BOB were there for a few before "leaving". Sark got a better job. Tucker did too (was he a DC or did he go to MSU from UGA?). Outside year 1 have they had a 1 season coordinator that was fired b/c they were failures or didn't work well with the staff? Auburn has had 8 OCs in 7 years. I believe it's not much better on the defensive side either. We HAVE TO get some consistency. At both the top and the Coordinators too

Okay. Back to DC hire. Kiffin would be a bit risky in terms of Xs & Os, but elite recruiting. Maybe him and Kelly can be a brain trust. Arnett would be the best Xs & Os coach. Either solid hires, but we'd have to wait for Kiffin

I'll be interested to see how this works out considering the reason we didn't hire Nix last year was b/c he has to call plays or is due a multi million dollar buyout
