  1. Thinking about this Bama is on a run like no other, Georgia is a recruiting machine, Lsu has been dominate and Tamu is on the rise. Through all the bad coaching and alleged out of shape guys he never had a losing record. Also, if he was the head coach this year I believe we beat Bama again. Lastly maybe the strength and conditioning philosophies are different . If u are out of shape how do u keep up with the Johnny Footballs and hold down the high power LSU offense with out of shape guys.
  2. Hmmm, I would be interested to hear from past Auburn transfers on how the workouts compared to other schools. People like Grant, Matthew, Nick, and Prosch.
  3. It crazy how so much vitriol is for the former coach. Did he screw up. Absolutely. However, he did some good things as well as bad things. I understand get behind the new coach but its like Harsin is Saban 2.0 and hasnt coached one game yet at Auburn.
  4. I could say u tell the entire truth. One maintained at a mid major that was already loaded and the other took over a P5 that was rock bottom and in the toughest division. So that maintain stuff dont hold water. Harsin has done anything on a bigger stage all u have to harp on is Gus short comings and guess what he was at Auburn 8 years whether u loved him or hated. All I know it will be showtime in a few more weeks. Lets see what happens.
  5. We will see. If I am wrong I am wrong. There are no powerhouses in the Mountain West. Name two teams that u hear about constantly in the Mountain West or when they were in the WAC outside of Boise. Hawaii hasnt been good since June Jones left. San Jose had a decent team this year and won the conference. The Bosie State brand has been a constant for mid majors like North Dakota St has.
  6. He wasnt terrible but did not spectacular. Boise brand has been good for a while . He can be average and win the Mountain West and before that the WAC. There was only one at most two teams that would challenge them yearly. We can visit this convo three years from now and the guy replacing him will enjoy the same success. This is the real challenge not necessarily starting from the ground but definitely not at the top.
  7. My last take is what did Harsin build at Boise was the foundation not there. Did he take over a dumpster fire or was everything in was. Did Boise exceed expectations and were new year six bowls every year or just average on a national scale. Again Boise was the cream of the crop before him and will be after him. The jury is still out on whats gonna happen at Auburn because the last team he took over after Gus he didnt do so well.
  8. I have been on the same energy regarding this topic. Nothing wrong with a healthy agree to disagree.
  9. A counter to that would be was FSU any good that year and Boise was ranked. They have sucked since Jimbo left. They barely beat ULM the following week.
  10. I will keep the same energy and just admit if I am wrong. I have no problem with saying it. It will be an interesting fall cant wait.
  11. I just think this being so blown out of proportion. How was Mason and KJ were able to carry the ball so much if they were out of shape. They even changed the rule because of Gus Hunh offense. If things were this bad Auburn shouldnt have won any games or had any draft picks. Also Gus beat Peterson who was Harsin mentor and Harsin himself when he was at Arky State with the out of shape guys
  12. This is crazy so Auburn was not only losing games because of bad coaching but they were out of shape.
  13. I saw something about the practice maybe more demanding not guys being out of shape. Brown, Lawson, Davidson, Mason , Kj and the list goes on never appeared to be out of shape. For some reason preparations for bowl games were lacking out side of the Natty. However, its a moot point. Lets just see what Harsin does.
  14. Also thats his point of view of practice before a bowl game. Unless I was watching the wrong TV I didnt observe the TEAM losing because of fatigue during the season or any other season. I saw boneheaded coaching or poor execution. Again if conditioning was that bad there is now way the defense could have towed the line that much bad as the offense was if they were out of shape.
  15. Idk how to look at the out of shape comment. Hard to gauge how all of the COVID restrictions affected each TEAM. I know every team had to deal with it but I am sure alot of things had to be amended outside of the norm. I would think in a normal year guys would be in pretty good shape. Especially the running backs and defense (from all of the 3 and outs). Gus would run them to death.
  16. Well said. Like I mentioned earlier the young man made a decision very early in the process. I believe he has the attention of the school that he really wanted to attend. Its great to have a big but as we can see u need good guards and long athletic wings. AU will be just fine. 24/7 has him as a 4* but rivals has him as a 3*.
  17. This reminds me of the other highly touted kid that was committed to Auburn for a while and then the Person scandal hit and he ended up at Kentucky. If my memory serves me right he didnt do much at Kentucky. Auburn was just fine without him. I believe his name was EJ Montgomery. Correct me if I am wrong.
  18. I think he made the decision way to soon. Now more offers are coming and decided to decommit. I guess on the positive side at least he didnt wait until the last minute so Coach Pearl couldnt pursue other players. Who knows maybe it was mutual and coach has something else planned.
  19. I will respectfully say that basketball in Hawaii is not the greatest. He has moved stateside so we will see what happens. Should be able to get a better idea if it was a big lose or not.
  20. Dont be surprised if he ends up at Kentucky. Auburn will be fine either way
  21. All good DAG. I understand that we can all agree to disagree. Everyone wants Auburn do well. We have constantly seen glimmers but nothing has really been sustained.
  22. Naw u good. I am not suggestion Harsin is doing something wrong. That might be the thought of some of the players. However, its just an opinion. I cant prove it.
  23. Thanks McLoofus. U on the money
  24. I think its hard to compare a Nick Saban hard work process to a Harsin hard work. All one has to do is hold out his hand and show all the draft picks. Most of the players probably dont follow Boise football and had know clue who Harsin was until he was hired. Not sure if there would be this much attrition if a Mullen or Kirby type hire was made. Only time will tell and right now Auburn just need bodies.
