  1. Not pathetic at all. I was just trying to avoid an argument. But I'm up for one now.
  2. The reason I "dumped my post" was because I didn't want enter into an argument, especially on a fan forum. I generally just like to state my opinion, and then live and let live. But you seem to want to start an argument. Fine. I can argue too, and hold my own. I'd rather not, but... And your quotes are far less than "monumental".
  3. This makes you sound like an idiot who thinks he knows everything. The vaccines are definitely rated by the US government as "experimental". Therefore, even though I believe in medical science and took the vaccine, I can understand how some people would be justifiably fearful, under reasonable circumstances. For example, I know a young couple who just had a child. The mom got the virus (verified by test), which gave her mild symptoms comparable to a routine head cold, yet her husband never got it, or at least never showed symptoms. And their infant son never got it, even though he was breast feeding while his mom had the virus. Why in the hell should they feel compelled to take an experimental virus? I would advise them to take it, but why should they feel compelled to do so? I am not scare-mongering, and you have shown yourself to be a judgemental jerk. Did you graduate from AU, or elsewhere? I hope elsewhere...
  4. They seem the same to me. If a penicillin shot is a "medical record", then it seems a vaccination is as well. I don't think that vaccination passports will ever take hold in this generation in the United States. There is just too much opposition, even from vaccinated people like me. Personally, I've decided that I will never show a vaccination card to anyone for any reason. The CDC says that as a vaccinated person, I'm not a threat to anyone, nor am I threatened by anyone even if they are sick with COVID. So I don't care if anyone else wears a mask or not, and I will choose to avoid any business that requires proof of vaccination. Anyone who is scared of being around me because I'm not wearing a mask and am unwilling to show a vaccination card should simply make sure they are fully vaccinated themselves, and that frees them from having to worry about being around me.
  5. I had COVID back in January. Comparatively speaking, my case was mild, but I still felt really bad, and my ability to exercise effectively was reduced for a long time due to impaired lung function. My experience with COVID makes me laugh at deniers and anti-vaxxers. I gladly accepted the vaccine when my turn came up because I sure don't want to get COVID again. However, I do not like the idea of having to show a vaccine passport, and I've decided against it. My medical records are between my doctor and myself.
  6. Nothing. But it conveys my opinion. Which is as good as yours. Which doesn't mean anything other than it's 1:24AM and I'm bored. WarEagle. And Good Morning.
  7. I sure love cooking pork loins. I spiral-cut them about an inch thick, use a meat mallet to achieve a uniform thickness, cover them in a bacon-based stuffing, roll and tie, and smoke indirect with charcoal briquettes and pecan wood chunks. Cooked that for Thanksgiving this past year.
  8. Yes, I use a Thermoworks Thermapen when cooking everything except ribs. I pull pork tenderloins at 141-142 degrees for a sear and a hopeful finish temp of 145.
  9. Lately, I've been experimenting with not wrapping ribs. I've got a rack of baby backs on my barrel cooker right now (charcoal briquettes and pecan wood chunks), and I don't plan to spritz or even open the lid for the first 3 hours. I've cooked them like this before, and was pleased with the results. This method tends to produce a chewy, semi-crunchy bark (from the caramelized sugar in the rub). They are flavorful and juicy, but not quite as tender and juicy as when I wrap in foil with apple juice. And the finish color is dark, not the mahogany red that most restaurants serve. I go back and forth between these two methods. I like the results from both, although they are very different.
  10. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to understanding recruiting ratings. But it doesn't thrill me that most of these late additions have been 3-star players. And that we lost out on a good 4-star linebacker...to Kentucky.
  11. Baby back ribs and briskets have been my best cooks. Pork tenderloin is good too, as are whole chickens.
  12. I'm afraid of losing Cooper. Even if he isn't ready defensively or shot-wise for the pros, I'm afraid he might move on anyway. Whatever is best for him, but I think he would benefit from another year under Pearl. I'm an older guy whose love of basketball runs through the low post. So I love Dylan Cardwell. I think if he keeps improving, he could be a real scoring threat and open up things on the perimeter. I can't wait to see Justin Powell playing his natural position along side Cooper. Hope it happens soon enough to see where it could go. But Powell's health is more important than anything else in that regard. Love this team and the future. Very excited to see where it will go, this year and next.
  13. Hope he works out like we need. I think he will.
