  1. I wasn't pressing it with you. I'm fine, man. I was saying ok.
  2. Ah well let me help you with that. This was the coaches fault. With an assist from CBM's selfishness and shortsightedness.
  3. I dont feel like defending points you've made up for me that I and many on here have never said. The argument is a hope that BP and posters here realize he's handcuffed his own teams by ignoring what got him to the final four in the first place. Instead we're met by the likes of you screaming about us not liking BP enough and ignoring our lack of guard play going on half a decade now. I've had this convo with you specifically like 5 times over the last 3 years. So I'll move on. Obvious neither of us are gonna make a breakthrough.
  4. Where did he say fire BP? Why jump to that strawman argument? Is it because you don't have a way to defend your line of thinking?
  5. BP didn't just miss. He saw that WG and Zep didn't work out in real time on the court and made the decision to stick with them another year despite their failings. Thata not missing on an unknown quantity any longer. That's just a flat out mistake. Then still didn't get a real PG to help for this year either. Which was a concern of many, as was discussed in the BBall forum before the season and brought up by insiders as a weakness. @NWALA Tiger has a very good point.
  6. I disagree. And with CBM's history, if I was that ref, I'm making the same call. CBM played a stupid instigator game and won a stupid prize.
  7. He wound up and elbowed the dude in the chest. Almost the equivalent of throwing a punch. I'd call that dangerous or harsh.
  8. 'Like it should have been' my ass. It was intentional, it was dirty, and he deserved a flagrant 2.
  9. I'd hope that can be the case. I'd believe it more if I didn't believe CBM to be the instigator in a majority of the altercations that he is in. I can't prove that cause I can't see him every minute of the game. But there's a reason he's the center of drama every single game despite who we are playing. It's not just a case of a kid needing to learn to cool his emotions when in a heated situation, he's the one making the situation heated and then taking it too far. That's a mentality, not a reaction.
  10. Well either he didn't address it all year or it didn't make an impression, so...🤷‍♂️
  11. Don't discuss a coaching decision. Just bask in BP's glory you ungrateful bastards. I garauntee you everyone on this board is grateful for what BP has done for Auburn (what isn't as brought up often is what Auburn did for BP when he was down and needed a chance). Very few people are saying we need to move on from him. That doesn't mean we can't discuss his miscues and limitations.
  12. Not even mentioning him going after Desi Sills, not securing him, and losing Trey Alexander in the process. Trey wasn't a PG persay, but have you seen what he's done for Creighton the last few years?
  13. While I think BP has a long way to go in enforcing discipline, as seen by how he's let CBM continue to play borderline dirty all year without much outward consequence, this rings pretty hollow coming from a man that sat a player 1 meaningless game for being accessory to murder.
  14. Hes not Mr. acessory to murder Brandon Miller guys, so what's your problem?... It's not wrong to question a kid who has shown issues all year playing clean who has hopped from 3 schools in 3 years. It's more questionable to overlook his issues because you want his production.
  15. I get your intent, buts it not racist to state true obvious facts. Their team was mostly white. I myself, was smart enough to get into Auburn and many other schools but not Yale.
  16. Mark me down as needing to see it before I believe it with some of these highly rated incoming freshman. Regardless of what we hear and see in AAU game highlights. I've seen too many Westry's, and Traore's, and Hollaway's and not enough Jabari's.
  17. BuT wItHoUt HiM, wE'lL sInK bAcK iNtO iRrElEvEnCy! No such thing as building on a solid foundation with scared Auburn fans who think it's BP or back to the Barbee days with no other choices.
  18. OR his decision to not only recruit Wendell, Zep, and KD but then keep them over going and getting better guards (like Mark Sears??). He wasted generational talent with that decision. BP is great. BP saved Auburn basketball. Yada Yada yada. But BP makes alot of mistakes.
  19. Reminds me of previous years' teams that would take really stupid shots, over and over. And a bunch of us would ask if BP even discussed shot selection with the team or let then do whatever they want? I feel like i remember hearing him say in an interview that he didnt discuss shot selection. The way BP talked about the CBM flagrant, he kept saying it was 'innapropiate but....' like it was a forgone conclusion CBM was gonna hit him back. I like BP. But sometimes I wonder about a bunch of his coaching decisions.
  20. Good to see you, too, CBO! The misery of this loss brought me back to the board momentarily. The stupidity of a few of the posters drove me to sign in and post. I am by no means saying we need to get rid of BP. Just not bend over backwards to keep him to the point we screw ourselves.
  21. I was apparently ruining his enjoyment of the season. And not appreciating a good but not great auburn team vs what we had in the past. Or some BS along those lines.
  22. This was my entire message that year and the next (after keeping those sub par guards again) that got GWill to go on a crusade against my existence.
