Emily Carasone is not ready to coach this program. All years of coaching experience have come under Dean. I’m ok with keeping her on the staff but this program needs Pete D’Amour or Marissa Young desperately.

This program is a dumpster fire. I’m giving up, waving the white flag. I just cannot watch this anymore.

Also worth noting: Former Auburn commit Madison Inscoe (Dean pulled the offer) jusst threw a complete game shutout against South Carolina.

Still can’t hit worth a damn. Penta is gonna carry us to some wins in SEC play, no chance we win a game 2 this year without her pitching. Would like to see Malayna get some more innings. Think she’s looked better than Widra.

Anybody have any lineup predictions for Missouri this weekend? With all of the cancellations, I don’t think the coaches have had time to figure out this lineup yet!

I know I’m usually negative Nancy on here, and I know it was Georgia State who we beat tonight, but I thought we played well. For those who don’t know, Auburn beat Georgia State, 8-0 in 6 innings. i’ve been saying all year Auburn is not a HR/hard hitting team. Tonight, Dean played situational softball and was able to manufacture runs. This is what we need to do this year. Saw several sac bunts and sac flies tonight and thats something i have not seen much of this year. no strikeouts among the starters tonight. The only two strikeouts were from Stroud (pinch hitter who, by the way, is 0-4 with 4 Ks this year, yikes) and Roberts (has 5 Ks this year). Still a strong advocate for having Abbey Smith in the lineup, but I don’t see that changing unfortunately. Mariah Penta should be everyday starter as well. The main thing is to just play smart softball and realize that we aren’t going to hit XBHs every game (sure would be nice) but that’s not who this team is. war eagle.

This is what i was expecting Auburn’s bullpen to look like this year. Smh

If their are any Dean supporters out there, I will fight you. John Cohen or Allen Greene doesn’t give a s*** about softball because if Butch had been as mediocre as Dean for this long, he’d been gone. Infuriating. Always the women that have to suffer. Shame on this administration.

Jessie Blaine is hitting .500+, got a base hit on Cagle and just knocked a 3-run HR off of Utah’s Mariah Lopez. Would be nice to have a player like that…

I agree on moving Peralta down to 3rd. 1. Smith - LF 2. Wohlers - 3B 3. Peralta - SS 4. Lech - 1B 5. Tresvik - RF 6. McCrary - DP 7. Elkins - C 8. Packer - CF 9. Roach - 2B

If Smith and McCrary are both in the lineup, Abbey should play LF and McCrary should DP. She’s a whole lot better defensively.

Wichita state just scored 4 runs in the 7th and upset South Carolina. makes us look better.

Team beats Utah 1-0. Penta goes the distance (she’s incredible). My Takeaways: - Lopez is a pretty good pitcher, Auburn struck for 0 XBH, but drew 7 walks and inked 8 hits. - I thought the offense hit well (over .300 against Lopez), but holy cow it is almost impossible for them to get a base hit or even put it in play with runners in scoring position (0-8 with RISP and they stranded 10 runners). - There were some head scratchers from Dean (as usual). He didn’t sacrifice bunt three times with runners on and nobody out and the aftermath of the next few batters would’ve likely scored a run each time. Much bigger fish on Saturday as we will likely see Cagle (and Garcia, may I add) against Clemson.

This team can’t hit to save their lives

I didn’t expect to see Caden Green getting the start at second base. I thought Javon would get start at 2B and Christian Hall or Kaleb Freeman would start at DH.

Well we won. But Mickey Dean’s awful coaching rears its ugly head again. Got two much bigger games in the next few days. this offense is atrocious and nobody but Penta looks to be legit in the circle. i’m hard on this team, but I was proud of them for responding after giving up the lead, but not too proud because we gave a 5-run lead.
