  1. Auburn loses, of course. Don’t blame Penta for this at all. This team has got to learn how to hit the ball consistently and string some hits together. It’s a broken record and our bats gave Penta her first blemish of the season. It’s pitiful, it’s aggravating, and it’s annoying. How much longer do we have to suffer through crappy performances against somewhat good pitchers for Dean to finally wise up and figure out how to hit a damn ball. Sorry for the rant, but I’m over this.
  2. I don’t know how much longer I can take this. Widra bunts out to end the inning with a runner at first. Why bunt?? Swing away. Abbey Smith on deck. McCondichie speed scores on a gapper. Dean cannot coach these type of games to save his life.
  3. Yeah I’m think there is zero chance we win this one.
  4. 2 outs, Packer on second and Denver at the plate. First pitch: Dean/Lenti tries to steal Packer to third, 3 outs. WITH PACKER’s SPEED SHE SCORES ON A BASE HIT! WHAT ARE WE DOING?! Once again, Dean proves his incompetent coaching can and will only hinder.
  5. We just made this pitcher look like an all-American. Kerpics is at best, a SEC third team member, this so typical of Dean. She went rise and change on two strikes nearly every time, how could we not make adjustments??
  6. This is about what I expected for this weekend. We saw this girl last year, I don’t get how we can’t anticipate her pitch selection.
  7. This has to be his win or go home year. We have never been to a super regional or hosted a regional, have never finished in the top half of the SEC, or had a winning SEC record under CMD. My biggest fear is that we get stuck with him for awhile due to the lack of attention to the sport, but my second greatest fear is that the girls will transfer if he gets removed as head coach. It’s just overall underwhelming situation, and I think he needs to turn the season around fast, somehow and someway.
  8. Okay but we are always guessing. Dean schedules inferior opponents that boost our statistics to make him look good, and then go quiet when real competition hits. It is a broken record at this point. And I know there is a lot of season left, but my God, this. is. getting. exhausting.
  9. Agreed. Outside of the Pitt game, I thought we looked really good. But again, I have the feeling that if Penta and Lowe (or even Widra) had pitched to start and end that game we probably win 7-0.
  10. Really impressed with this team today, glad to see the ball leave the yard again. I would’ve been really interested to see how our starters fare against their ace, Sickels, but I understand the move to go to our bench when it’s 10-0 lol.
  11. Agreed, it’s exhausting to watch. Didn’t understand starting Tresvik, but definitely didn’t get the move to Rolfe. Dean has to take this game on the chin, it’s on him.
  12. I’m really getting tired of Dean’s crap, his poor decision making in the game continues to outshine all other factors. Putting Rolfe in that position as a freshman is inexcusable (I believe it’s good to get her some innings in, but not when we’re in a tie game with two runners on and nobody out, it’s dumb, that’s all it is). That Pittsburgh team was not, and is not the better team. I’m praying they turn this around so I don’t have to suffer from another mediocre softball season from Coach Dean.
  13. Top of the 4th. 8-5 Pitt lead, but Auburn has bases loaded with nobody out and Peralta up to bat.
  14. Big double play as Rolfe gets a scoreless frame, big time chance to get something going here.
  15. Godwin grounds into double play on very first pitch she sees from the new pitcher, ends a huge potential rally, not good.
  16. 8-2 end of the 2nd. Embarrassing. I hope putting Rolfe in that position didn’t destroy her confidence. Bad spot to be in in your first career appearance, bad move on Dean’s part in my opinion.
  17. Mickey Dean doing Mickey Dean things. This team got run ruled by Indiana yesterday.
  18. Really impressed with Widra today (that same St. John’s team chased UK’s starter early on in game 1 today), hopefully we will get to see her bat later today. I like that Dean shared the love and let some inexperienced players get some swings in (particular Millie Roberts’s AB). I think it’s obviously too early to critique the bats given that it’s our first game. Hoping to get Ellis, Packer, Cox, and Denver Bryant going this weekend as well. War eagle.
