  1. I will be very surprised if anybody beats UConn. They are head and shoulders above everybody else, IMO.
  2. Yep, SDSU is a well-coached team, especially defensively.
  3. I'm not upset at all about it. I knew Yale wasn't any good. We just farted around and took them lightly.
  4. SDSU is doing to Yale what we should have done
  5. Look at it this way. Let's say my best friend and I both interviewed for a job. Say I get the job. Would I go constantly talking about getting the job around my friend? Not if I were a considerate person.
  6. Well, that's fine. But remember, this IS an Auburn board. And not many fans won't to hear about a rival they hate.
  7. Well, Hugh may have his baggage, but at least he didn't partake in covering for an accessory to murder. All in the name of winning ballgames.
  8. Basketball is the only major sport we are any good at, and we s---- the bed vs a weak team just days after rolling through the SEC tournament. I'm still pissed. And will get even more pissed every round that bama advances.
  9. It had to do with emphasizing offense more, and changing their schemes. But still maintaining their defense and toughness identity (in other words, they didn't turn into bama).
  10. And made some philosophical changes a couple of years ago. Now look where UConn is. I wonder if Bruce is looking at some philosophical changes going forward. Would think he would have to be.
  11. Yep, what a joke! It's ridiculous that Oats would call another player or program out for discipline issues after the murder fiasco last year in which about a third of his team was involved. Even if he is right. What a hypocrite!
  12. I agree. Not really pulling for Tennessee, but I could at least tolerate them winning it. On the other hand, bammer would be a different story. I do believe UConn is the best team by a wide margin, and expect them to win it.
  13. I've actually cheated and looked at some scores, lol.
  14. Wonder what they would be saying if we won, then Charleston beat them? Then Bruce went to the Charleston locker room to congratulate them. It was totally bush league. One thing as a coach is while you may have your preference of who wins in other games, being open about it is taboo.
  15. I think the point they were trying to make is that for virtually all the Yale players, their careers will be over once they play their final college game. And while we may not have any real major NBA prospects, several of our guys will play beyond college. They were basically saying that we let a less talented team beat us. It is also great that you and your brother-in-law have overcome obstacles to achieve great things in life! So many people don't believe in themselves, and settle for mediocrity. You guys obviously aren't those type of people!
  16. Like I saw where somebody posted yesterday, "Auburn let a bunch of future lawyers, Wall Street brokers, and accountants beat them". And they were right.
  17. Between him and people like Lane Kiffin, we have some sorry sack of s---- human beings coaching in this league. Some people, you can't help but to wish bad things to.
  18. I detest them. Kiffin is a spoiled brat who has gotten everything he wants in life because of who his daddy is. Fits Ole Miss to a T. And you are right, Beard is just a sorry human being. I live in Mississippi, and avoid that cesspool Oxford like the plague.
  19. Exactly! Teams like Ole Miss and Arkansas didn't even make the tournament and got blown out by us every time talking crap. And as far as Arkansas baseball, they are the kings of getting a high ranking, then sh---ing the bed, getting upset and losing out early.
  20. I even saw where Arkansas baseball Twitter took a dig at us. I reminded them that, despite the loss, we still did a lot better than their Brokebacks did this year.
  21. I'm pulling hard for UConn to win it. They are the only great team, IMO. I really respect the way they weren't a traditional blue blood, but built both their men's and women's programs into the best in the nation from nothing.
  22. I won't be shocked if he takes one of the big openings this year. Seems like the program has plateaued at Auburn, and he probably sees that.
  23. And I thought the Final Four being in Phoenix was a good omen. Our football team won the title there in 2010. I'm like you, really thought this team was different, something special.
