  1. Yep. People talk about CWS appearances. But even coaches like Chizik, Gus, Orgeron, and Les Miles can have all the dominoes fall into place for a great season or two. Well coached teams simply don't have seasons THIS bad- not in year 9 of their tenure. It just doesn't happen.
  2. I think Aden wanted to go to the "stellar guard developer" so he can jack as many 3's as he wants and not play a lick of defense. Which fits his game perfectly. In all honesty, he probably felt like, with the addiction of Pegues, he was being recruited over.
  3. It will be the most brutal treatment ever to an opposing player by Auburn fans. And as soft as Aden is mentally, not good for him. He will probably be traumatized for life.
  4. Aden was given every opportunity at Auburn, and didn't get it done. Now he is playing the victim card. He chose bama purely out of spite. This tells us all we need to know about his character. He will fit right in with the low character goons in that program. I hope he fails
  5. I agree. CWS appearances or not, this is embarrassing. These last 5 SEC opponents are all not much ahead of us in the standings, gotta win a few of them.
  6. And Mississippi State isn't very good either. I was hoping that the schedule turning more favorable would help. This season looks like a lost cause. We will find out if the team has any heart by the end of the weekend.
  7. We finally play a team we should have a good chance of beating, and are not getting it done as of now.
  8. Really good nucleus retuning for next season. We should be right in the thick of the SEC race once again.
  9. Wouldn't mind getting PJ Hall from Clemson! Not sure if he has any eligibility left, or whether he is projected to get drafted.
  10. Even worse is that, with LSU and Florida also really struggling, it appears that the SEC is really down this year. So really inexcusable to be 2-13 right now.
  11. 27 wins, 13-5 in the SEC, and SEC tournament champions. Obviously, the loss to Yale was very discouraging. But all in all, it was a very successful season. Sweet 16 was probably the ceiling being in UConn's region, they were one of the best teams the past 40 years or so, nobody was beating them. We just need to build on the positives, and continue to try to get better.
  12. We seem to have one of those seasons where the bottom falls out about every 4th year under Butch. Highly doubtful this team will even make Hoover. What a train wreck!
  13. Why does he have a season every fourth year or so where the bottom completely falls out? Here we are mid April, and the season is virtually over. That's the big reason I never have been all in on him. Why no consistency?
  14. Rest easy, they are hiring Mark Pope. Many of these fans wanted Bruce, which is flattering.
  15. Big Blue fans are outraged, but I think it is a better hire than many think. A lot of their fans wanted Bruce, which is flattering.
  16. Well, I sure ain't holding my breath in hopes of football doing anything. And I am pretty apathetic about baseball- Thompson will have a good year or two, then the bottom will fall out. Never any consistency.
  17. The move to Arkansas will likely also reenergize him. He will want to prove he isn't washed up, and it wouldn't surprise me if he has at least 3-4 good years there. A fresh start was very much needed by him, things has gotten really stale under him at UK.
  18. 1. Hurley ain't going to Kentucky. 2. Calipari pretty much had to get out of Lexington the first chance he gets, he had essentially lost the confidence and support of the fanbase there. 3. I believe Scott Drew is the most likely hire at UK. A lot of UK fans don't think he is good enough for Kentucky, but I think he would do well there.
  19. I thought UConn was vastly superior to Purdue even before they played bama. After UConn played bama, I knew Purdue stood little chance. I thought bama played about as well as they could play, and UConn still pulled away in the end and won by 15. Purdue's guards were vastly inferior to bama's.
  20. I've always respected the fact that Jim Calhoun and Geno Auriemma built their programs from nothing to the elites of the game.
