Well, I saw Tennessee, MSU, and other fans making fun of our loss on social media yesterday. And Lane Kiffin did too. It wasn't just bama fans. So no, I will not be puiling for any SEC teams.

What is so infuriating is that if we played even a good, not great game, we win easily. And there wouldn't have been a damn thing Yale could have done about it.

I agree, something is amiss. I'm not saying this is what happened. But I can't help but to wonder if one of these big schools with openings like Louisville are trying to convince Bruce to take their job, and he is seriously considering it. As a result, perhaps our preparation for the game wasn't what it should have been.

Maybe it affected our preparation all week. We definitely weren't focused, or this would not have happened. If we were prepared the best we could have been and played even a B game, we would have won the game solidly.

Well, I think the succession plan notion definitely took a big hit today.

The players and coaches would never admit it, but I think we probably underestimated them, at least subconsciously. That is one thing that coaches always worry about. You watch a team on film l, and you worry about your guys thinking, "man, these guys suck".

Quite frankly, Yale looked terrible to me vs less than stellar competition in the games I watched. I thought even if worse case scenario happened (and it did), we would still win by 8 or so.

After watching video of Yale this week, I'm still dumbfounded how we lost to that team. Especially in such an important game.

Normally, I would agree. But this was such a devastating loss. And one that never should have happened.

I just hope and pray bama doesn't win one before we do.

I agree. He brought in some guards that were solid secondary players, but not real difference makers.

There comes a point, and this is no knock on Bruce, where a coach has reached his ceiling at a program. The point where he has taken them as far as he can. That is true for nearly all coaches. Now have we reached that point with Bruce? I don't know. I certainly hope not.

They were certainly more impressive over the course of the season.

App State was better than Yale.

The main reason this loss is so depressing is we lost to a team that we had a lot more talent than. I may not like it, but I can stomach losing to a better team. No excuse for losing this game.

Yep. This is as down and upset as I have felt in a long time.

Lane Kiffin is one of the few people in the world that I honest to goodness hate. I mean, a football coach talking crap about a basketball team that he has absolutely nothing to do with. He absolutely hates Auburn for whatever reason. But hey, the feeling is mutual.

They will probably win it all knowing our luck. Imagine having to deal with that.

Spot up shooters, you should be able to stop. Drivers who can't shoot, you should be able to stop. The ones that are hard to guard, of course, are the ones who can get to the rim AND shoot. And if you let a guy who is a spot up shooters beat you off the dribble consistently when you are a better athlete, that's an effort issue.

I agree. And that NMSU team was a lot better than this Yale team.

Just gotta stay attached, be it a hedge or a switch

I do coach, and I we have had several games where the other team is not as athletic, but seemingly hit everything they are throwing up early. I tell me guys, "no, that isn't good enough, you are STILL giving him too much room". I tell them, "I could beat you if you give me that much room, make him be an athlete ". Really get on their a-- about it. And once we do that, we always take over the game.

I've always believed that well coached teams win the games they are supposed to win. That is one thing I respect about Roy Williams. I don't think he lost but one first round game his entire career, and never to a much lower seed.

But that was only one shot.
