  1. Well, my Father taught me a long time ago not to pit yourself into situations where there is any doubt as to your actions. Sometimes i followed that wise advice, and sometimes i didn't. One thing for certain though, most occasions when i didn't I had to live with the consequences. This sort of applies in this situation. Had Chad not done what he did we wouldn't be having a discussion about it, and the official wouldn't have had the opportunity to eject him. Make no mistake, I'm not one of the haters on this kid. Quite the contrary, I personally think other than maybe Broome, Chad was the most important piece of this team. I just hope he learns from his mistake. If what I've heard about the young man is accurate I'm sure he will.
  2. You can disagree all you want. I don't care. It was stupid, and not at all necessary. I did dumb things too when I was young.
  3. We don't have one that can if I'm being honest. At least not one who can finish once they get inside, and certainly not one who can distribute the ball like Sears can.
  4. They are a really deep team that's full of shooters. When they decide to play defense they have a chance to beat anybody they play.
  5. He's the best player on the floor on nearly every game I've watched them play this season
  6. Thanks, that was just dumb. Actually, I couldn't begin to tell anyone what exactly was our offensive game plan in the second half.
  7. The ejection was warranted. There was nothing pertaining to being part of the game that he did. If he had caught the guy with an elbow on a rebound, or in the paint is one thing. No excuse for throwing an elbow at a guy who is simply running down the court next to you. It was selfish, and stupid. If the uniforms were reversed everyone on here would be agreeing with the call.
  8. I was really pulling for Oakland, but wasn't too mad they lost to NC State. One Cinderella to another. Auburn has been in need of a point guard, and a deadeye two guard ever since Harper, and Bryce Brown graduated. Today's basketball needs a dynamic point man who can penetrate the defense, and either score on his own, or distribute the ball to the other weapons. Mark Sears is an excellent example. The guy is literally the engine that makes Alabama go. We are now unfortunately in need of an almost complete overhaul. Since Broome, and Jaylin will be gone we have got to have at least two bigs who can be major contributors right away. I'm fairly high on Chaney Johnson, but not sure he's the guy who can legitimately get us 15-20 points a game inside. We could also use another small forward who can score off the dribble. We have CBM, but who knows how his future is going to play out at this point.
  9. Well, you sure are going to miss some exciting basketball.
  10. I sure would have liked to have a couple of those rich white boys on our squad yesterday.
  11. If we're being honest we all knew we had weak points that were bound to show up sooner or later.
  12. Don't forget Denver, and Broome missing free throws as well.
  13. Officials didn't turn the ball over on five straight trips down the floor. Just saying
  14. Exactly was thinking just that.
  15. I wonder if that #4 would like to transfer. He could major in underwater crochet at Auburn next year.
  16. We just refuse to play smart basketball. Been a problem all year.
  17. They are scrappy, and well disciplined
  18. Moore has a good looking stroke for a guy who rarely shoots the ball.
  19. Being completely outsmarted. I know they are from the Ivy League, but this ain't brain surgery.
  20. More Tre in the second half please. The offense flows much better with him at the point.
  21. Not to mention we have a reputation of committing a lot of fouls.
