  1. As long as it's not New Mexico State I'm all for it.
  2. Now this is a much more informed analysis than the one posted yesterday that I commented on.
  3. Nah man, this so called football expert. I guess anyone can pull their opinions out of a part of their anatomy that most of us just sit on. It's real easy to sit back, and say someone made a huge mistake, but I haven't noticed anyone asking this dude to run their football program. Personally, I hope Thorne balls out this year, and crow will be on a lot of folks menu.
  4. Well, next time a SEC school hires this idiot he can spend all the millions on a QB he wants.
  5. Personally, if I were going to give Alabama a player who is undersized, can't finish at the rim, and couldn't hit the water with an anchor off a rowboat I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather give them than Holloway, so I'm not at all burdened by this.
  6. Yeah, I'm far from an expert as I haven't burned one in nearly 40 years.
  7. Maybe that explains why he can't shoot. I couldn't shoot worth a damn stoned myself.
  8. Granted. I usually just look for the littel things. Kinda concerned about the lack of push by the first team O line. That may just be that Hugh wasn't exactly loading up to run it either.
  9. Good lord he should have left him back there at 64 yards.
  10. We'll see if we can run through ball come the fall. Offense looks much more efficient when you can pick up 4,or 5 yards when you need to.
  11. Defense is in the backfield before the ball gets there
  12. Very entertaining he says. I'm drinking coffee trying to stay awake.
  13. Alston, or Cobb probably scored there. Hunter too slow
  14. Yeah, hope they didn't charge for tickets to this.
  15. Offensive line sure ain't moving them off the ball much.
  16. Glad I didn't make the drive all the way down there to watch this running clock BS
  17. Not that I know of, but if you have ESPN subscription on ROKU it comes up. I have Auburn football, and basketball added to my library on there.
  18. I have an ESPN subscription on my Roku. I'll watch it on that. Some others more tech savvy mak know another way however.
  19. One of my first Auburn football heroes as a kid. So sad to hear of his passing.
  20. One could certainly argue that Alabama was the better team in 72, and as one who was there that day in Legion Field I would have to agree, but that doesn't matter because we won the game. The real travesty in it all was the SEC office allowing Bear to schedule an extra game so they would get the benefit. Auburn has gotten a raw deal from the SEC for decades. One might stop to consider just how many SEC titles Auburn could have possibly won if not having to finish every season with Florida, Georgia, and Alabama as the last three games. I remember many years that Auburn had to have a slugfest with GA right before going to Birmingham to play Bama while Bama played a tune-up game with Southern Miss the previous week.
  21. How about the SEC allowing Bear Bryant to schedule an extra SEC game back in the late sixties-early seventies? In 1972 Auburn, and Alabama both lost only one SEC game, and Auburn beat Alabama on the field, yet the Turds wind up as SEC champions because they finished 7-1 while Auburn finished 6-1. Another of their mythical titles.
  22. Bruce should be out beating the bushes looking for him some guards instead of making excuses for undisciplined basketball.
  23. KD drove me nuts at times, but I had to admire his moxie. Give me a guy with his cajones that is about 6'6-6'7, and I'll pick him first every time.
  24. I haven't actually argued the points of the rule myself other than my personal opinion. I actually agreed with the ejection because I think an elbow to a guy who is doing nothing more than running beside him is equivalent to throwing a punch. That's just how I would see it. If I were Chad, and wanted to get back at a guy for pushing me in the throat I would have waited until I maybe got the ball in my hands, and just ran over his a$$. I'm sure no one feels worse about it than Chad, and hope he's learned a valuable lesson, and can just move on from it. I hated to see us lose to Yale, but also realized that we had some glaring weaknesses on this team that was going to ultimately result in a trip back home sooner, or later.
