  1. Amen to this topic. Let's show our support. If everyone just gives $10, that would be huge. I am doing it right now.
  2. It makes you wonder about our last 2 OL coaches and our last 2 Head coaches. What were they doing? Obviously, they weren't recruiting. Auburn should be an easy sell, but our last 2 coaches couldn't get any OL players to sign with us. Were they not trying? The new coach signs more OL players in one month than the last 5 years of recruiting classes. Those coaches should be ashamed of themselves. I was shocked beyond belief last year when Harsin and Will Friend didn't get a single OL from the portal. How can that be possible? If Harsin would have stayed one more year, what do you think our recruiting ranking would have been? I bet in the 60's easy. Hugh Freeze has been a breath of fresh air. I am actually excited to read Auburn news again. I am going right now to donate some money to the NIL. Let's show them our support.
  3. Hey Folks! I would like to ask are there any specific things that you would like to see Coach Hugh Freeze embrace or change. Everybody wants more wins and better recruiting, but what else is on your wish list? Here is mine. (1) Switch from UNDER ARMOUR to NIKE - The reason for this is simple... most young football players love NIKE. The kids have grown up idolizing NIKE shoes and clothes and they know that they will get tons of free NIKE stuff when they sign with a NIKE school. Think about this, all 4 of the playoff teams are NIKE schools... is that a coincidence? (2) UNIFORM tweaks for special games - The only good thing to come from the Harsin debacle was the face mask changes. I really liked the orange face masks and I thought that the white face masks looked "sick" our stormtrooper outfits, but why stop there? I would love to see Coach Freeze embrace some more uniform changes. I would guess that at least 90% of the teams have uniform changes throughout the year, so why can't we? Don't get me wrong, I love Auburn's uniforms, but having a change every now and then would bring so much excitement for the fans and more importantly the kids playing the games. We need to do all we can to get these hyped and excited to play for Auburn. (3) JORDAN HARE upgrades - I hope that Coach Hugh Freeze will fight to make more improvements to Jordan Hare Stadium. Auburn needs to do something to attract more fans to Jordan Hare and the first step would be to replace those awful steel benches with real fold-out seats. Another improvement would be to make the gray concrete parts of the stadium look a little better either by painting or cleaning them. We could do something like the Florida Gators did to their stadium where they painted certain sections orange. Florida then writes things on the orange wall that says..."Welcome to the Swamp" or "This is Gator Country". (4) Ask fans to donate money for NIL - I know that Auburn has ways for people to donate money to help the NIL, but you never really hear the Coaches asking people to pledge more. I hope that Coach Freeze will ask the fans to donate money so that it will help our football team "buy" good players...LOL. Anybody else have some wish lists and things they would like to see? WAR EAGLE for the FUTURE!
  4. In Harsin's 2 recruiting classes, he has only signed 3 OL recruits. To put this in perspective, during the same timeframe, he signed 12 DL recruits. 3 OL vs 12 DL!!!!! This makes me question... Why didn't Harsin make the OL his top priority? Why didn't Harsin sign any OL's from the transfer portal? Why do we have an Alabama guy coaching our OL? Is our OL coach secretly working for the enemy? With numbers like that, it almost seems like it. LOL!!!
  5. Did anyone see that video of Harsin throwing the football at Auburn's practice last week? He stopped Robby Ashford from throwing the ball just so he could prove that he could throw the ball better than Calzada. He was like... my pass was way better than yours Calzada and you are an SEC level QB. Maybe he is an a-hole. It didn't sit well with me.
  6. I think that all of us Auburn fans are just numb right now. We are not used to losing 5 games in a row. We are not used to struggling against teams like Georgia State and San Jose State. We are not used to being the last in the SEC in recruiting. These are uncharted waters for us. This has all happened under Harsin's watch. The ship sure does seem to be sinking and I just don't see Harsin being able to fix it. Do you?
  7. Is it too soon to maybe go after Jon Gruden? He recently said that he would like to get back into coaching, but he said his dream job was Arkansas. Either way, I am so tired of watching our offense crap the bed game after game. We have not been able to pass consistently since Jarret Stidham left. I didn't expect our O-line to get so exposed today, especially in the pass blocking. Their edge rushers were consistently whipping our tackles. Are we really 2 and 6 in our last 8 games? Ugh!
  8. I just want the best man for Auburn, and I know that John Hartwell will do everything he can to make us better. Our family history with Auburn runs deep and we are definitely fans! War Eagle to everyone! I am so excited to see the Tigers play hard today!
  9. Not sure that I understand your comment WDE_OxPx_2010. Please explain. Thanks, and War Eagle!
  10. I talked to my cousin John Hartwell the other day and he is interested in the Auburn job. There is not another person that would work harder than John. His father, mother, uncle, and 2 sisters all graduated from Auburn. The only reason that he didn't go to Auburn was because he got a scholarship to play basketball at the Citadel. He grew up as an Auburn fan and understands how important Auburn is to people like us. I sure hope that Auburn gives him a chance. He would be great for Auburn and would have us winning championships soon.
  11. Hey Auburn Family! Just letting you know that one of the AD candidates is my cousin John Hartwell and he would be a perfect fit for Auburn. He was the AD at Troy and now he is the AD at Utah State. This past year, Utah State won conference championships in Football, Volleyball and Gymnastics and the coaches were all hired by John. John is a lifelong Auburn fan and comes from a family full of Auburn grads and (more importantly) Auburn fans. He is a perfect Southern gentleman that knows how to work hard and represent Auburn the right way. He was born in Mobile, AL and was an All-State basketball star at UMS-Wright and a 3-year starter at the Citadel. There is not another man that will work harder than him to make Auburn Athletics great again. He believes in family, church, athletics and loves Auburn. If anyone has an inside track to put in the good word for John Hartwell... please do. War Eagle! Kent Hartwell
  12. Thanks for nice welcome everyone. When you hear the stories that the boosters didn't like Allen Green and were against him hiring Bryan Harsin, you wonder how much of it is true. If the boosters didn't want Harsin as their coach, then who did they want? It would be great if Harsin, Finley, the Wide Receivers and the Offensive Line all pull together and prove every one wrong. That would be AUsome! I really do hope that they really take a strong look at my cousin for the AD job because he would make the boosters happy, and the Auburn Family would love him! Is there anybody in the AUFAMILY forum that can put in a good word for John Hartwell for AD? Does anyone have some inside connections?
