IMO, he has a few more years before he would be approved.

aujeff11 6,243
This is what I’ve found: Quote “The NCAA cleared Freeze to become an assistant coach if someone wanted to hire him. In January, Alabama coach Nick Saban tried to hire Freeze as a co-offensive coordinator and also coach a position. But SEC commissioner Greg Sankey told Alabama and Freeze it would look bad if the league allowed Freeze immediately back in the league while Ole Miss was serving a probation.” Quote SEC commissioner Greg Sankey essentially vetoed Alabama's pursuit of Freeze, preferring that the disgraced coach spend another year or two in exile. According to little-known SEC bylaw 19.8.12, schools in the SEC must consult with Sankey before offering a job to any coach "who has engaged in unethical conduct as defined under NCAA Bylaws or who has participated in activity that resulted, or may result, in a Level I, Level II or major infraction." So after this year, he very well may be back into the game.
