Mueller isn't bringing a charge against Flynn for being a foreign agent but the judge felt the need to accuse Flynn of treason none the less. Flynn admitted he lied and he didn't deny that, but the judge decided to get his feathers ruffled because in Flynn's memo he had the audacity to mention that the FBI requested he not have a lawyer present for his interview, so Sullivan saw that as some kind of excuse despite Flynn's admission in court to Sullivan about lying. Flynn only has 33 years of service in the Army and has cooperated with Mueller's investigation. But that's not good enough. Mueller's recommendation of no prison time for Flynn isn't good enough for Sullivan. Quote The failure to file as a lobbyist for Turkey under the Foreign Agents Registration Act hardly makes Flynn the modern-day equivalent of Benedict Arnold. It makes him the Republican version of Tony Podesta, who is enjoying his retirement in his home in the upscale Kalomara neighborhood of Washington a few doors down from the former President Obama and his family. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/jonathan-turley-judge-surprises-flynn-at-sentencing-hearing-heres-what-to-expect-next

It was part of the process introduced by Flynn. He implied he should have had a lawyer - presumably to advise him not to lie. So, you really think Flynn needed a lawyer to advise him not to lie? Damn Your comments are either very, very ignorant or just flat out stupid. Possibly both.

But the judge wants to be a stickler and wants to make a statement and take some of the spotlight for himself. Flynn has admitted he lied, the memo didn't change his answer/guilty plea but the judge wants to use the memo as justification for prison time. David Petraeus only got probation and a $100,000 fine for lying.

Suggesting Flynn could be guilty of treason. I don't care if you consider Flynn to be scum, suggesting that Flynn could be guilty of treason was over the top. The special counsel found Flynn to be contrite enough to not recommend prison time but the judge wanted to be a pissant and make a statement all because of Flynn's memo.. But now he's postponed sentencing and it'll give Mueller's team more time to present more details about Flynn's involvement/cooperation in the investigation. The judge apparently was disgusted but what was redacted for the rest of us. Mueller has had more time to put it in context.

That "pissant" of a judge granted Flynn a delay in his sentence hearing - basically giving him a free re-set after his effort to try to shift some of the blame for what he did to the FBI. The Judge had every right to get worked up over the case when you have the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency whining about the FBI not recommending he get a lawyer as a mitigating factor for his lying. Your position is bizarre to put it politely.

So many pundits thought this Reagan appointee would throw out his plea b/c of supposed government overreach. Instead, the judge said Mueller was being way too lenient. You hate being called a cultist, but you just keep sinking deeper into irrationality. Irrational cultist slapping his forehead. ↘️
