Senator Scott and the CF playoff committee

I just read that Senator Scott sent a letter to the playoff committee asking them to explain their reasoning for keeping FSU out.   With everything going on in the world, I don't know if he spent 2 minutes or 2 hours on the letter, this is a waste of time.   Under what authority does he demand a response?   Political pandering at its finest, IMO.

While I agree I also think emotions were running high. Few things in life, politics, or even sports cause a more primal reaction than the word “fair”.

Meritocracy of team sports are dieing.  Only academia/politics can justify allowing a once beaten team in over an undefeated conference champion of a P5 conference.

I'm certain that he has fielded an incredible number of calls from constituents demanding something be done, although there is nothing that can be done.  He is likely making a statement in order to satisfy their need to be heard.
