WarTim 3,534
So, THIS is the "team" that uat had to beat with a last second field goal? Look at the teams we have both played., USC-ARK-ole miss. I know, I can hear the uat reply, but, I do see a definate trend. uat struggled with all common opponents. I like what that little stat shows. uat has yet to be challenged. THAT will change...soon enough.

AUartlady 19
Yeah, I know, that sucks, our game with GA will be over by the time they play, so hopefully we will need to do that. It is just so hard to root for them! Plus we need to beat UK and GA!
BamaGrad03 0
Yeah...but luckily this formula works for us too! We beat UF by 28. They lost to LSU by 4. We will beat LSU by 24. They beat you by 3. So we should beat Auburn by 27. Yay!
WarTim 3,534
Just one question, did that HOOK hurt when I set it in your lower lip? p.s. But wait, we beat USC by 40 and they beat UT by 1, so......

WarTim 3,534
uaters are easily amazed. I opened a door in front of one uater and he spent the rest of the day attempting to duplicate that "trick". The comparisons make uaters very nervous. Bait is usually more difficult to match to the species of fish a fisherman is after.
Argo 8
Man, I love these types of threads!!!!!! So........ Mayville St beat Minot St who beat Dakota St who beat Waldorf who beat Iowa Wesleyan who beat Olivet Nazarene who beat Anderson who beat Earlham who beat Manchester who beat Grove City who beat Muhlenberg who beat New Jersey who beat La Salle who beat St Francis PA who beat Central Conn St who beat Colgate who beat Massachusetts who beat Rhode Island who beat William & Mary who beat New Hampshire who beat UC-Davis who beat Stanford who beat Arizona St who beat Northwestern who beat Wisconsin who beat North Carolina who beat North Carolina St who beat Georgia Tech who beat Auburn So by the logic used in this thread......Mayville St would beat Auburn. Right?

However, I believe it is a bit looser than the one Tim is trying to demonstrate, agreed? 193609[/snapback] I actually believe that my correlation is just as useful as Tim's while trying to figure the outcome of the Bama/AU game. In another words, both attempts are seriously useless. The ONLY game that will decide who wins between Bama and AU is the Iron Bowl.

Somebody who beat somebody who will beat somebody is not the same as "we beat these two teams worse than you did". It is interesting to compare and makes you wonder what the differences are. Argo 8
I cheated. There's no way I would look up that many teams to try and find a way to prove something that simply wouldn't happen. I.E. Mayville St. beating AU. But....as useless as this link is, it's fun to play with. http://cfbanalyzer.com/cgi-bin/year.cgi?year=2005

Texan4Auburn 1,626
I don't do the comparison thing with scores much, but looking at common opponents, I think Auburn has consistently performed better against them than Alabama has.
Argo 8
So after AU beats UA you will admit that Mayville St. would have beat UA as well? I guess I'll choke on that crow IF(not when) we get there. I don't do the comparison thing with scores much, but looking at common opponents, I think Auburn has consistently performed better against them than Alabama has. I'll agree with that all day, but that in itself is not a sure way to predict how the Iron Bowl will be played or won.

L33t Bama 0
The logic in the common opponents is better than most predictions. But you're forgetting one thing: It's the Iron Bowl. There is no way possible to predict it.
