AUBURN, Ala. -- Today, Auburn announced the school will end their contract with Alabama firm Russell Athletic, a deal that spanned over 70 years, and will agree to a five-year deal with Maryland's Under Armour.

"If you don't get excited when you put on the Armour, you ain't got a pulse, man," Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville said.

The move is seen in some ways a continuation of the cold war between Under Armour and Nike. Auburn rival Alabama has been wearing Nike products for about 10 years, and the the bitter rivalry between the proxies should bode well for the winner of the athletics supplies war.

Nike founder Phil Knight lit a cigar with a $100 bill and laughed.

"Do they really think they can take me down," Knight said. "Who do they have? Maryland and Auburn? How many national championships do those schools have? And have they ever ******* heard of Michael Jordan? Get real."

The annual Iron Bowl will now have the look of the Team Under Armour vs. Goliath commercials, but instead of Maryland and Oregon, the teams trotting out to play for their respective athletics firms will be Alabama and Auburn.

"Goliath is Goliath for a reason," Alabama freshman running back Jimmy Johns said. "We're on top. The best. Our school has so many national championships you can't wear all the rings at one time. Even when we're down, we'll be back up again. See you next November."

Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs, when contacted at his office today, was seen rolling naked in a pool of $20 bills while screaming, "We must protect this house!"

The contract between AU and Under Armour is said to be for $10.6 million, and Under Armor will also film a series of commercials at the university.

Under Armour is publicly traded on the NASDAQ exchange.

Thanks for the laugh.

Wouldn't it be funny though to hear Tubby say "If you don't get excited when you put on the Armour, you ain't got a pulse, man."

Not as funny as it will be when we do see "Team Gonja", er "Team Goliath" next November. (But definitely funnier than Naked Jay cavorting in the$20's)
