Good article about Will Herring

AUBURN — Auburn's Will Herring will jog onto the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, read Alabama's offensive alignment and go to where he needs to be in Auburn's defensive set.

It will be like any other game for Herring, Auburn's starting strong-side linebacker for every game this season.

But in another sense, it will be different.

It's not because the game will mark the final regular-season contest Herring will play at Auburn.

No, it will be different because he's different. He's the ultimate iron man at the ultimate iron position. When No. 15 Auburn (9-2, 5-2 SEC) plays at Alabama (6-5, 2-5) on Saturday, he will receive his 48th straight starting assignment, breaking Jeno James' school record of 47.

You would do good to read the rest of the article.

bump...I think this is too good of an article to let get buried within a day of posting it. Especially during IB week.

I am a Will Herring Fan. He is a true football player in my mind, BUT I can not get out of my mind the goal line play with Arkansas where he just fell down to let them go ahead and eventually win out.

I know he is great leader and player but it is one of those things...
