Days of Thunder. The surround sound is scary.

Star Wars.

Armageddon.

Saving Private Ryan

Blackhawk Down

Really any movie that has guns and helicopters.

Good call! "Apocalypse Now" is another good one where you get the whole helicopter sound with surround sound. Those of you who have been in helicopters before know the high pitched turbine whine I am talking about.

Also, I enjoy watching Gladiator type movies as well as the guns and helicopter ones for the surround experience.

Blackhawk Down

Add to that movies with space shuttle launches and those with cannons.

Watching the patriot caused my upstairs neighbor to call the cops thinking people were firing real guns.

Space Cowboys shuttle launch caused pictures to fall off the wall in the upstairs apt.

My roommate's family ran a home entertainment business. We had some top end stereo equipment and a stand alone sub that was unreal.

For a non heavy action movie. Man on Fire did a good job. Lots of natural effects with birds chirping and city sounds. It felt like you were outside with them. I'm disappointed in the number of movies that don't run DTS with 5.1

Swordfish. That scene where the bomb blows up and sprays ball bearings everywhere...whew.

Matrix Trilogy.

Star Wars Epi 1 2 or 3.

I-Robot.

Anything encoded in DTS.

Master and Commander was good with surround sound.

And I don't mind lowering myself

"Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?"

Twister and The Mummy are two of the best from a sound effect side. Also, the train wreck scene in The Fugitive will blow the pictures off the wall.
