Bottomfeeder 244
"...there's the idiot that got us into Iraq." My goodness, what a legacy. Dumbest bunch ever in Washington DC. "I've worked with them all. This is by far the dumbest bunch ever inWashington." Poor George W. has grabbed ahold of a something and he can't let go of it. Everywhere he goes, people point and whisper - there's the idiot that got us into Iraq. Even if his team had a good idea or two - not that we've heard any - on any other issues, the Iraq war gets in the way. http://www.dailyreckoning.com/Issues/2007/DR052507.html
drewau02 0
W's legacy is far from being written. He's not even out of office yet. And we're still debating the legacy of presidents like Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, and JFK. So what makes you or any other rational person think that George W. Bush has an official legacy, only six years into his presidency? If the troops surge in Iraq works, or by the grace of God we actually win in Iraq and the fledgling government there actually survives, then the only real blights on W's legacy will be illegal immigration and spending. It won't be the greatest legacy but then again, it won't be the worst either. We've already debated ad nauseum the reasons for going into Iraq. The reasons were just, even if the post Sadaam planning by Rumsfeld and crew was botched in so many different ways. People probably don't see W as getting us into Iraq, but keeping us there. That's what the polls say anyway.
