Go in next week for open heart surgery to take out the last of shrapnel that I got in Afghanistan. Got one last piece of metal next to my heart valve that they have to remove. I love her to death but I'll be so glad when she's out of this stupidly innocent puppy phase. I wouldn't trade her for the world though. I hope you're doing well. I haven't seen a post from you since the initial post. I know open heart is a difficult recovery--I watched my dad go through it. Let us know how you're doing if you're still checking the board.
