Jackson-Sullivan 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 From what I am hearing, Auburn's just trying to back off of him in a "nice" way, for lack of better words. Some of these situations turn into PR deals. I may be wrong but I believe Auburn is glad to let MSU take a chance with him and if they are not interested (which it appears they are) are still willing to place him in a junior college but not necessarily ever pursue him again once he is finished. These things happen when teams find success in recruiting and start running out of room. Alot of times it also means that they have a silent verbal from somebody else that they can't talk about. These sorda situations arose frequently early on during the Tuberville regime when his staff was more agressive, kind of like what we are seeing already with Chizik's staff.
