  1. We should know a lot more after this weekend with Putnam and Webb.
  2. Have to throw a shout out to the Oak Mountain QB. He ain’t a passer and probably will never be, but with the ball in his hands he’s electric. A 2022 kid. Smith I think is his last name.
  3. JJ finished up with 9 receptions 243 yards 2 TDs. A couple kick off returns for about 40 yards each. HT wins 52-47
  4. JJ 50 yard TD reception. I think he's up to about 243 on 9 receptions. 2 TDs
  5. Oak Mt at HT this week. 28-7 HT early in the 2nd. JJ with 3 receptions so far I think some where around 100 yards. 60+ TD reception.
  6. No I stated after 2 years. No one is/was expected to be drafted after this year. None have been a real “starter” at this level for even a full year. After 2 seasons I could see Harrell and Tega both drafted.
  7. Used to coach. As I’ve always claimed I was an average OC. Still coach baseball and yes my teams are always pretty dang strong and if saying Tega has a chance with proper development over the next 2 years is sunshine pumping then paint me guilty
  8. If Tega develops any over the next 2 years he will easily be drafted. Harrell has a decent shot. This OL will continue to get better each and every game this year with good coaching and experience.
  9. I think it’s more trying to do more then he’s capable of and wanting to impress his new teammates
  10. Boykin and Clarke are totally different situations. Boykin is a junior and wants to fully enjoy the process. Clarke is a borderline SEC starter in the future with good development and played his cards wrong. Coaches decided it was best if both parties go different directions. Nothing more nothing less. Clarke will get to play somewhere for a free education. Good luck to the young man. Aside from the personal opinion of Clarke I stated earlier not sure exactly when but sometime early in the spring that coaches were going to be more aggressive and not play around with high school players.
  11. Agree Coach. Horton played poorly. Kim did ok. Driscoll played well on the outside rush but missed on locking up on inside gap containment. Not sure if Horton was supposed to be helping or not. Tega had a pretty good day. Harrell looked solid. Still got a ways to go but these next 2 weeks of practice will be very beneficial for these guys. Coach Grimes with be able to analyze what fundamentals were lost in the heat of the moment and correct them. I expect much better next week and then comes another good test in 2 weeks.
  12. I think it was McClain on the block in the back. Iggy did ok on defense. Made one really bad read trying to play catch-up when he was trailing. When you go man to man as much as we do they are gonna hit some throws.
  13. Dynamic with the ball in his hands but has dropped 3 easy passes already this year. I think just trying to do to much before securing the ball but will definitely keep my eyes on that during the season.
  14. JJ houses the opening kickoff this weekend. 98 yards
  15. Thanks Coach. Nice breakdown and I to am excited to get the season started. WDE!!
  16. I would assume all of those are in the works. OT being the only one that seems far off. I actually think we need HS OT and a GT OT. That'd be my wish anyway.
  17. I'd say this guy is probably in the end gonna be our best NFL prospect after college development. Just think his ceiling is higher then any of our other committed guys.
  18. @bigbird give us an in depth breakdown of what you see in Zion... Other then Jesus coming in the clouds. Also good luck if ya'll are kicking off this week.
  19. Happy wife = Happy life. The sooner these young bucks realize that the further along they'll be.
  20. If you knew my wife you'd know the answer to that. She would slap me up side the head before she did anything I told her to do
