FWIW I'm told Gus has not ever shown anything on the scholly weekend, including his time as OC. I'm going to wait till the first real game scrim before I go full panic mode. Lots of talent on this AU team.

KP is going to be good. And to be fair the offense was vanilla. Boring vanilla.

Neither QB played worth the dang. Both SW and JF3 were awful. No way to sugar coat it. CP is a good back but lacks speed. Reminded me of PB. KM looked good. KJ didn't play much. Just limiting KJ's touches in the scrims. DL looked great. Hosley played great. E Stove looked good. D blitzed quite a bit. Played a lot of man on man. Seems to be some very good team chemistry. And the players all looked good on the hoof. Need a QB. Real bad. Told SW looked a lot better the last scrim. And JF3 has ball security issues and can't pass. And SW is still small.

Me and bigbird are with you on this one. I start saying unpleasant things every time AU lines up in the wildcat. Very unpleasant thing.

Yes it is. Not sure who 23 is taking to but the guy's I've talked to say JF3 is no where near ready to play QB in the SEC. No where.

Gogue will still be doing fundraising for AU. So I'm told.

Things are about to get interesting. I'm told sooner than later Gogue will be announcing his retirement as President of AU. A search committee for Gogue's replacement is being formed as I type this. FWIW.

If Gus starts JJ and the O looks the same with no improvement then I believe Gus won't be at AU in 2017. And you do know SW was no where close to 100% in the bowl game. SW could not plant his foot on his throws. Anyways it's going to be SW as the starter. Anyone want to bet me on this?

I'd trade Stidham for Gatewood in a heartbeat. Gatewood is good but there is no way he can live up to all of the expectations the AU people have for him. Stidham is a stud. I don't think RL is at AU next year. Regardless.

I really believe this deal is already done.

If Gus trots JJ out against Clemson and the O looks like it did last year, AU will be looking for a new coach. Gus will be done. SW will be the starter.

This is correct from what I was told. I still wish Gus would do some live action with SW & JJ.
