There are what, 4 or 5 5* players near campus that do not want to be at AL/UGA and the Harsin gang put zero effort into recruiting. We got problems, but it is more of we (past coaches and admins) have been super lazy and feed off of our excess in resources. I feel like Cohen will run us like a professional sports team that we are vs the family owned business that has plagued us.

I don't think it is asking too much from someone making 5MM plus to do their job in year 3 (of recruiting). Name another industry where someone gets 4 or 5 years at that salary and not produce results. If these guys love football and just want to impact players, they can go make 75k at any local HS.

I love AU, so excuse my opinion. I think AU has major built in advantages. Money, location, mild weather. If we can grab someone who unifies our resources, we can make an elite run. NIL amd expanded playoffs are an advantage to us.

We are rock bottom. Look, there was a small but vocal group of AU fans signaling Gus was driving us to the bottom. Years of ignoring key positions like OL and MLB in recruiting have taken a toll. Compounding our issues is Harsin hasn't realized the situation he has. No one will every get 4-5 years at AU to learn and figure it out. Lane Kiffin has the model. Supplement through the portal until you can break into HS recruiting. Unfortunately, we are 2-3 seasons at best from being competitive again and that is only if we can actually hire a real coach. Depressing. A decade of bad football will go by quick if you aren't careful.

I am not gonna blame the players. Reality is we don't have a player on D that would start for another BIG 6 team. Hall would be a solid backup. In the end, it is on Harsin to recruit and bring in guys who can actually compete.
