  1. We needed a few things not go our way to keep these guys grounded leading up to the Iron Bowl.
  2. I hope y’all are happy, now our Twitter beat guys are talking about it.
  3. Don’t know - think he contributes with some of the play calling but sounds like his growing effort is dictating the call sheet each week.
  4. According to Stultz, on the Auburn Sports rundown this week, he expects Freeze to call 100% of the plays next year.
  5. https://fansided.com/pitch-a-story/ FanSided covers the world of sports from every angle and we’re always looking to build relationships with new freelance writers. In particular, we are looking for freelancers who can help us tell stories on new subjects and in new voices, whether that’s through access, creative approaches or unique perspectives and experiences. We are open to pitches for opinion columns, essays, detailed analysis, interviews, reported features, cultural criticism related to the world of sports, fan fiction any anything else you might dream up related to the world of sports. We are looking for stories about the world of sports both on and off the field and are very interested in stories from voices that are historically underrepresented in sports media — women, POC, LGBT+, etc. Our rates vary based on length, topic, timeliness and the unique expertise or experience you bring to the topic. All of our payments are made through Payoneer and our policy is to send payments within 60 days of the end of the month in which the piece was published. If you’re planning to pitch us a story make sure you know what your story is before you reach out. In about 200 words or less, tell us what kind of piece you’re pitching. How long do you anticipate it being? What is the most intriguing piece of the story and why do you think it would be a good fit for FanSided? If it’s a topic that has been well covered at other sites, tell us why your piece is unique and what new things it brings to the conversation. If it’s a reported piece, let us know what interviewing or research you’ve already done and how you plan to finish the rest. When you are emailing your pitch please include a proposed headline in your subject line. If you have already written some of the piece, feel free to include a draft but it’s not necessary. If you have not previously written for FanSided, include no more than two or three clips of your best work from other outlets and it helps if the links you send are representative of the kind of story you’re pitching. Tell us why you’re the right person to do this story. All pitches can be sent to Freelance@FanSided.com. Please give us a week or two to review and respond to your pitch. If your story is particularly timely, it’s okay to send a follow-up email. We do our best to respond to all pitches but we can’t promise. If your pitch is something we’re interested in we will let you know as soon as we can. Below you’ll find some additional details on the kinds of stories you’re looking for and how to make your pitch as strong as possible.
  6. I think Robbie disqualified himself.
  7. All is not lost if we don’t win…but currently we’re ignored by national media, would be nice to get some air time for a couple of weeks as well as build some confidence for bama.
  8. Sorry, that’s not how I live my life. Sounds safe and ordinary though…enjoy.
  9. I don’t think the staff is treating this as a rebuild season…I think it’s the new normal for a Bruce Pearl team if all goes well. You could call it a rebuilding first half of the year, because, your right, it’s going to take some time to gel defensively and figure out offensive identity.
  10. HUGE 50/50 game this weekend…win and the major story line coming into the Iron Bowl is that Hugh Freeze is in the midst of an incredible turnaround and is storming back.
  11. Yeah, we were talking about it in another thread. We seem to have at least 4-5 drops each game so not sure where they pulled that stat from.
  12. White’s going to take some time to see the field, but yeah, that’s a crowded QB room and somebody has to transfer out after Spring.
  13. Leonard was rumored to be in the picture last offseason, didn’t work out. BTW, his passing stats this year aren’t great.
  14. Maybe we could just label them “fake news” and mock them at press conferences?
  15. Maybe they meant to say we average that per quarter.
  16. With all being equal, I’d think he would have a tendency to favor the guys he brought in, yet we still have a high number of Harsin recruits playing at the skill positions. Shorter not playing more baffles me; but there is another that isn’t playing and we’ve been told why (on podcasts) over and over since spring.
  17. What was that about? Didn’t we have 4 or 5 drops alone the week before?
  18. Against SEC competition, Auburn has scored the following TDs: Game 1: - 1 TD Game 2: - 2 TD Game 3 - 2 TD Game 4 - 3 TD Game 5 - 3 TD Game 6 - 4 TD This is game 7, so I predict the progress continues. 4 TDs (maybe 5) and a couple of field goals. And because Arky has a pulse on O, I give them 3 TDs. Auburn 34, Arky 27
