  1. Would an AU legacy do that? Evans did it, but his dad had an axe to grind and Kirby loved screwing w us.
  2. Even if they can catch when they get here, this staff is confident they can coach them down.
  3. If anyone wants to go through each game and total this up, you'll have my admiration and respect.
  4. He’s a slot guy? Seems like we have plenty of those; unless we expect JJ and Fair to transfer?
  5. That’s a possibility and is getting talked about a lot on podcasts. Holding out hope until the top targets are actually off the board.
  6. People just need to chill until NSD. Take a couple weeks hiatus (sorry Red) then come back and check on who we landed…nothing we can do about any of it.
  7. Stars are important! FYI the quote is from new IU coach, Cignetti.
  8. Really good montage from CBS Sports of the last 30+ years. It’s OK to shed a tear…a lot of great Auburn memories in there.
  9. Just announcing that he’s changing to ‘24 classification.
  10. Page 9 of this thread is where the melt is. kudos to NWALA and a few others, though.
  11. I fully expect Ryan Williams to be wearing orange and blue next season. After he’s done locking down kids in our backyard, Hugh’s going to lock down the legacies.
  12. Thought this was a subliminal message about our WR transfers at first.
  13. Maybe Auburn should open up a “farm school”. Like an IMG, but position the Auburn Academy somewhere near Dothan. (to draw from AL, GA, and N. FL). Our NIL can offer scholarships to the best of the best and we can start developing them in high school.
  14. We’re ready for your weekly (daily???) podcast with Bird and E.
  15. Vandagriff’s name is feeling left out of this conversation.
  16. ‘88 LSU (I think that was the year). Earthquake game…gotta be up there.
  17. See, this is why all those things people say behind your back are simply not true. I appreciate it.
  18. https://t.co/WFTIBY3fJk sorry if the text color is off…having trouble pasting on phone. Hate to lose this guy. A Nick Saban story that shows how good Gunner Britton was for Auburn in 2023 Alabama's head coach had some high praise for Gunner Britton after the Iron Bowl. Zac Blackerby6 minutes ago The loss in the 2023 Iron Bowl gave Auburn fans something to point to when discussing the future and direction of the program, sadly Gunner Britton will be moving on to the NFL after running out of eligibility. In talking to a source close to Britton about the Iron Bowl, his offseason plans, and other things, they shared a really cool and simple story that happened in the aftermath of the crazy finish of the Iron Bowl. After the game, Nick Saban found Britton on the field and hugged him. He then looked him in the eyes and told him that it was "by far the best game by any lineman that he's seen in a long time." Britton's talent and leadership were a huge part of the Auburn offensive line's improvement over the course of this season. It sounds like Britton spent a lot of time teaching freshman Connor Lew how to watch film and get the most out of his time in front of the tape preparing for the upcoming game. I asked the source if Britton intended to play in Auburn's upcoming bowl game. They said that it was the plan. Britton was second on the team in total snaps played. He was on the field for 723 offensive snaps this season. Only Dillon Wade played more for Auburn in 2023.
  19. He kept looking back for the ball in practice.
  20. To bird’s point, Cox looked a shade worse later in his career, but of course all those great wide receivers had graduated by then. Cox seemed fragile; maybe that’s b/c we knew he had a medical disorder.
  21. Saw the back of Chris Davis’ Jersey for years every time I took the elevator at the Seminoles Athletics Complex.

Now that we know Scott was hurt, do you want to revise your statement? Moore was the returner for about half the season and I believe even came in for Scott when he muffed a punt early in the season. Should have been able to handle the moment just fine. At any rate, no matter who is back there at that point in the game I probably tell the returner to let it bounce and get away from it.
