But, looking at his film, I wouldn't be shocked if he aspires to be. It's a better comparison than him to Jameis. Maybe...but I'm still wrestling with the question of : does the coach make the player....or does the player make the coach. ....and I'm leaning toward the latter possibility. I guess I think they make each other. The coach needs good players, but the players need good coaches; and good coaches make good players better, while good players make good coaches better.

This team has been fun to watch so far! Low expectations from fans and great attitudes from the players; forcing the issue with aggressive baserunning and making plays defensively. I like it!

That says something to me. I'm psyched about Auburn football and have no reason to need to make myself feel better. I think we're in excellent shape. War Eagle! I was told Westry was elite at both the Florida and AU camps. Boom offered Westry on the spot, same for AU. Elite talent that can't be coached. Was being pushed hard by Boom to commit to UF. Westry's coached called RG and that set the AU camp visit. FWIW. Thanks for the info, WDE -- sounds great!

Dee Ford was a 3 star, and a first round draft pick. He was amazing last year. I will never forget him. Alex Kozan, too, one of our best O-linemen; Peyton Barber, from whom most of us expect a lot this year. I believe Nick Marshall was a 3* Athlete.

SIAP that he got an offer from UF at their camp...and now one at AU...coaches must be seeing something that all those experts at RIvals and elsewhere have missed. Obviously has improved/grown or whatever since last season....but I expect the coaches know what they are looking for and his size and speed got their attention. ^^^This. Just because we're loading up on 4* guys doesn't mean there's anything wrong with a 3* guy. Coaches are obviously seeing something in him that makes them think he's got the potential to be special. We wouldn't have accepted his commit -- and he likely wouldn't have earned these offers -- if this were not the case. War Eagle, Westry!
