This has been the common denominator through the years going back to my time as a student. A strong, competent, and professional AD hopefully can be brought in to change this dynamic. Maybe Barnhart is that guy

Music Thread v.1.5(POST YOUR TUNES!)
fredst replied to ShocksMyBrain's topic in All Things Considered...
I am a novice guitarist at best but when I think of electric guitar and the guys whose sound I love: Page, Hendrix, Gilmour are the names that come to mind first. And, that is one of my favorite LZ songs that captures their blues rock roots well- I have worn out LZ II over the past 6-12 months listening to it so much. -
Brown Liquor Time

Very nice. I will, of course, never find the HH but the Russell’s is IMO very solid and findable and anything Barrell is good. Is the Bardstown any good? -
How important is Personal Integrity for the next hire?
fredst replied to AUgrad97's topic in AU Football Forum
The fact that this is a thread topic makes me sad, which likely shows my age -
True . He obviously needed to go- NCAA on him, assistants bailing, lost like half his roster, and just beat at home by Eastern Michigan. But fired in the end zone….. damn
-
Herm Edwards got “end zoned” this weekend. Maybe if there’s a loss this weekend we can at least set the bar higher and “50 yard line” him lol

What is different this year? No Bo and McClain?

Not enough likes for this. Dude was just a player, and never got anywhere near the credit he deserved -

This is the kind of foolishness that drove off my man @McLoofus. Damn, I wish he’d come back….. -

Consider the source lol. Any support of Harsin ever during his tenure will *not* be forgiven or forgotten -

Because you have supported evil -
Did it last longer than 2 years? If so, you are on the short list for AD…..

Been watching lots of “guitar porn” last few months: listening to guys talk about how they play, instruments they chose, techniques, etc. Have ended up watching a bunch of old videos to watch guys play and came back across this one. Loved “Back In Black” obviously and some other stuff but was never a rabid AC/DC fan. This video though…hard to imagine how intoxicating it must be to be a rock star -

This. The HC sets the tone, hires the right guys and lets them do their thing. The elite guys are the guys that are killers on the recruiting trail. Our previous staff couldn’t stop meddling and the current one appears to do nothing well, sadly

Gernorris Wilson Decommits After Harsin Firing

Unless we find the few people in the US disconnected from technology that have the skill set to play SEC football…..I imagine so lol -
Gernorris Wilson Decommits After Harsin Firing
fredst replied to toddc's topic in AU Recruiting Forum
Hopefully these commitments are about guys loving and committing to Auburn instead of a coaching staff. WDE Mr. Wilson! Welcome! -
Are you forgetting the fake field goal when they were up 17 late in (I think) 2018? He has not run up the score as much as he could but they’ve still embarrassed us. Granted, this was mainly our fault

Gone two years and every damn thread….SMH

IF this were to happen it would be another example of how important it is to get that first HC gig. Its almost like once you get the first one you keep getting recycled no matter how badly you fail. The NFL has been notorious for that although they’ve broken out of that mold last 5-10 years
-
Troy Polamalu- you should love saying his name as much as our WR coach
-
If he committed after *that*….this dude must LOVE Auburn. WDE my man!
-
Well, that was his contract. Someone else mentioned a $2 million buyout. So….🤷🏻♂️

I’m not naive enough to think that they don’t go on at Auburn now and throughout its history. Bringing guys in with publicly well-known baggage and patterns of behavior is an extra risk to be prepared for
