  1. Exactly, were not going to be any worse and it helps for next year But this staff isn’t playing for next year, at least not at Auburn because they know they’re toast. They know they are gone so just hoping for resume-sake to scrape out as many wins as possible.
  2. This is why I don’t think that it’s fixable, at least with this staff. We desperately need more and better players but that isn’t going to happen this season…and we knew that was the case back in February and certainly after spring practice. And yet, no accommodation made for the limitations of talent. Mediocre talent(at best)+poor OL coaching+poor gameplay/scheme=what you witnessed Saturday. I don’t see that changing this year or how you realistically could. I like the idea of just bringing in the younger guys to get them reps but they will have received the same poor coaching. And, this staff is playing each week just to somehow scrape out a win, not looking to the future because they know that they don’t have one
  3. I’m no expert but I think this could cause some trouble with the NCAA or maybe the police
  4. Looks like you saw some good stuff this weekend. Good to see the International team put up a fight over the weekend. Looks like the JT/Kim match got a little testy….
  5. That looks like a good crappie-fry in the making. Nice!
  6. Always happy for a win. But….I don’t see how that outcome changes the equation or even the optics of firing Harsin. Anybody that is paying the least bit of attention knows what should happen, regardless of what was the official result of today’s game. The sooner that Harsin is fired and Auburn begins to move on the better off the program will be. Waiting serves no purpose IMO
  7. Number one is his personality/disposition. The others follow
  8. This. There is less hope now…
  9. Have to admit, read through some of that and @Altima absolutely was prescient about Gus
  10. Isn’t this how it goes? I start trying to learn guitar 5-6 months ago (at your prompting I might add) and now own 5 guitars, two amps and a pedal- and looking at more guitars. TF is wrong with me?
  11. Love Gilmour, that’s why I want a black Strat with all single coils. And, you absolutely have to get all of those things- probably tonight!
  12. Sadly (for my wife) SRV, Hendrix, and Gilmour are why I will *have* to buy a Strat eventually
  13. Plus, that ‘stache (He would have to bring that back). We may not hire him but we will regret it if we don’t……letting it all hang out here I could also be on board with Deion but that’s a real flyer for multiple reasons…
  14. I’ve said it for awhile but I’ll say it again- he’s (Grimes) my number one. Would be a guy that laid a foundation and set us up for long term success. Not flashy but so much more likely to be a durable solution. He might fail miserably but I would bet otherwise
  15. Most of this is awesome and exactly why I’ve wanted Grimes as AU HC for 4-5 years but the bold part? No….that would be message board posters
  16. I agree. Whoever replaces Harsin (is anybody even pretending he will be our coach come December at this point lol) needs to really do well in the portal or all of our QBs may take a preemptive medical redshirt next year (maybe Calzada was premature here)
  17. People bring up 2012 as awful, rightly so: the on-field product was god awful….but the talent was there, particularly on the OL. We needed a quarterback and lucked into one then 2013 happened. This talent situation is the worst we’ve been since 1998, maybe even early 1980s
  18. I will be pleasantly surprised if we win 4 games this year. I think this weekend is our best chance at any win and with what I saw last weekend and recent developments I would put our chances at 50/50
  19. Love this song. From one of the great movie soundtracks out there and a good movie. I wrestled in high school so I watched this movie repeatedly ( plus Linda Fiorentino😍)
  20. Rick’s also doing pretty well for himself. Just got his own signature Gibson Les Paul model. He talks over me a lot with music theory, etc. but I learn stuff every time I watch. Love his enthusiasm
  21. It was somebody in this thread that led me to Rick (might have been you). I am addicted to his channel, particularly the WMTSG episodes. They are fascinating, love the way he breaks out the tracks to isolate vocals/guitar/drum/etc.
  22. I appreciate the incredible ability on the guitar, the music style is not my fave
  23. I’ve thought about this a lot. I’ll gladly lump you in there too. 😜
  24. No surprises here. I actually think this piece is just a reprint of stuff that was put out on al.com back several months ago
