  1. And now a commercial? ARE YOU KIDDING? So, after seeing a bunch of teams play today, if we can be just decent, we <SHOULD> beat Arky, MSU and Vandy, plus the three non-P5 teams. Does TAMU look like a contender to anyone?
  2. Yay Georgia-North Carolina has a TON of under-review plays.
  3. ^If our offense is bad enough this year, Gus may have to do that to keep his job. I wonder what Stidham would do if somewhere else hired Art Briles and we hired Kendal Briles.
  4. I'm pretty much with you here, as well as with your predictions of a quick rebound in the following couple of years. We seem to be caught in a time loop. What is it with leap years?
  5. So if this goes the way you expect, WDE, will Gus be forced to make a certain change at the end of the season to keep his job? From reports about White's sudden regression, it would be inexcusable if Lashlee is still our OC next year.
  6. As far as RBs go, I think it's highly likely Pettway picks up where PB left off last year. I have to wonder if, in that case, he'd continue the tradition and go pro. If I had to guess, Lawson, Smith, and either Carlson or Pettway leave early.
  7. With yesterday's scrimmage in mind, Gus needs this guy to save his job, as I expect '17 will be his last chance to show improvement. I know that Woody will have had a year on campus, but in case he gets injured, and his availability and Tre's presence are the only differences next year, then we're right back at square one with Tre being a TF. Having Stidham and Woody would make for a QB situation worlds better than that of this year, and would allow Tre to provide DB depth.
  8. Can they put Troxell in a padded cell for the time being? j/k And is Brahms expected to be able to play his senior season? As long as this doesn't reduce them to shells of their former selves/knock down their ratings, I'm sure they'll be okay.
  9. At this point, the only emotional investment I have in this season is setting up to do better in the years following (which I think will happen), so I want to see at least one of our new receivers start.
  10. Slightly OT, but what is the likelihood of one of our freshmen receivers becoming a starter by year's end?
  11. ^The thought of losing on another QB to Sumlin--the same guy that started our freefall--makes me nauseous. I feel Briles and Stidham are the only way out of said freefall.
  12. If it can be shared, are we currently the leader? Or does he have any? This guy would very likely be the cure for our current QB curse. We MUST get him! Just imagine how good the offense could be by 2018: Stidham with a year under his belt and Barrett ready to go, an experienced and deep RB corps led by Kam and Kerryon, NCM with a couple years of starting experience, a veteran HB in Chandler Cox, and a line experienced enough to not be a liability. Yeah, that would be good.
  13. ^ Allen had a REALLY good year to be sure. SW's nowhere near perfect, but the prospect of him playing to that level isn't exactly far fetched--at least in his senior year. Cox and Pettway should be seniors and NCM and KD will be juniors.
  14. I just hope we don't need him to start right away.
  15. As painful as 2008 was (for me worse than even 2012), if our kicking unit hadn't completely melted down at critical points, it would have been a pretty decent season.
  16. ^NM is right up there with JFF and Mariota for the title of most under-rated recruit ever.
  17. ^Indeed. Lawson seems to fit the "Auburn Man" mold. He's such a great representative.
  18. ^ There's a lot of variables, but just imagine how good the 2019 team could be.
  19. ^ Well, we need LBs. He was CB'd to Georgia yesterday, BTW. Are we still currently the leader?
  20. Dude, this is unheard of if you think about it - the Tahd used to have that part of the state sown up and now Auburn's got it on lock. Madison Academy is a damn good pipeline to have considering they win or make a run at a state title and produce one of the nation's top prospects each and every year. Major props to Tim Horton. Bravo, coach! The only high school in the state I can think of that's even close to being historically considered an "AU pipeline" is Opelika. I would think Huntsville would be a more pro-Auburn city with the Space Center. Well of course Opelika is a pipeline; that just makes geographical sense. Three years in a row though we have gotten commitments from three highly regarded recruits from MA so that's nothing to sneeze at. Yeah, but you'd think the same about AHS.

  22. ^I know, but the information in the original post often gets updated too.
  23. Need him with losing out on Benton...how the heck did we let that happen?! On a more positive note, from what I can tell in the OP, that's either a typo or he just got upgraded, especially since he doesn't have that many offers. Seems like a good number of our recruits the past week got upgraded. For all my criticisms of our coaches that's the mark of good talent evaluation.
