Correction every school in that region recruits not just the big 4. The ones I have personal knowledge of are Hoover, Thompson, Spain Park and Mt. Brook. But I have friends at Hewitt and Vestavia that say they do too.

More likely Thompson at this point. What's going on down there reminds me of the Rush Probst days at Hoover.

Right now I think almost all of our commits stick either way. We are not the only team to ever have a bad year and still get good recruits. I think these guys can see that with some changes Auburn has the talent to be very good quick. Now what the changes are I don't know. It could be Gus but at a minimum I would say we get a new OC and a new O'line coach. If Gus goes I think we would get a name players would like ( at least enough to stay with us). If Gus stays I would assume we get a big name OC and line coach because Gus would know he has to make a splash or he will be out next year.

I saw several I knew but I was wondering if George made it? We did not see him but there were a lot of kids there and some of them were my sons friends so we were watching them more.

Do we know who all actually came. I saw several that I know but I wondered if we had a list of all that came.

Does this move the needle with Booth if we get him?

I have come to a decision that I thought I would share with everyone. I have decided that instead of being positive about our program I am going to be obnoxiously pessimistic about our team and program like so many on this board. It has to be more fun since so many are doing it. So let me start by saying now that we got Cord I think we will have a QB controversy and lose at least one if not two QB's. Since he is more of a running (option QB) I think we lose George because why would he come to a school that doesn't throw a lot. Since we can't get any good RB's we will probably lose at least four games this year which will start the drum beat to fire Gus again. When that happens we won't be able to get anyone during recruiting and the program will go down fast. Our Athletic department won't be able to hire a decent coach so we may be down as many as 10 years before we get some miracle player and do good once then go back down. Whew that was fun I do feel better. Thanks!!!

If he stays in HS there are going to be as many as 3 major HS jobs open in the next couple of years in the B'ham area. Could start as soon as next year.

Careful with that kind of talk. Some people don't want to hear anything good about him. It goes against their narrative.

It will be fun to watch them against Hoover in the opener. It's an ESPN game.

I have said it before but I think Pearl is the best recruiter we have for all sports. He always seems to put on a show for the Football recruits.

Bring back the Aussie Rules Football

I saw him play this year. He is big but plays more like a small elusive back. If the RB coach can teach him to play with a little more power than finesse this kid could be really good.

Great thing about him is if we decide to run a fake punt he looks like he knows how to run too. That's a tough sport!!!

I think he has proven the durability this year but size you can't so anything about ( well I guess he is tall enough just needs to put on some muscle). I think he comes back (or at least I hope so).
