  1. We were pretty much guaranteed a first time winner in the closing stages. Logano was the only previous winner with a shot, and it was a long one. He hovered around ten after the final restart and never really pushed. I was pulling for Chase Elliot. He had it, but he ran out of gas with 2 to go.
  2. McMurray didn't exactly cover himself in glory in this 500 and is most likely done for the day. Caused two multi car crashes with his recklessness.
  3. He had offers from Ole Miss, Duke, Notre Dame, Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon, Va. Tech. Noah is raw, but a legit D1 receiver prospect. We weren't the only ones to see it, but Auburn is where he wanted to be.
  4. Going to be honest with you, he didn't require a ton of recruiting once we offered.
  5. He adds another meter or so to his triple jump and he could qualify. He could do it as he still has a good bit of growing to do.
  6. Noah smashed the state triple-jump record by a foot and a half this morning. That was his dad's event.
  7. They looked really good during the AL/MS all star game practices.
  8. I was wondering why his mom wasn't at work today. Now I know.
  9. Wife has been suffering from Downton Abbey withdrawals since last spring, so she latched on to the next Masterpiece theater drama out of England, Victoria. Jenna Coleman (the impossible girl, to my fellow Whovians) plays the lead role.
  10. Speedy Noah Igbinoghene aiming to play like Eli Stove in Auburn's offense (AL.com) SEC Conference report: Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game (Rivals) Noah and a few more of ours at the AL-MS All-Star game.
  11. I'm really surprised he's not a four star (well, 247 rates him as one, but he's a three on the composite), but he did have offers from Duke, Notre Dame and Ole Miss. Legit D1 receiver prospect.
  12. World class. Given his pedigree, that's no shock. As I said in the OP, mom (whom I work with) was a bronze medalist in the 4x100 for Nigeria in 1992 and an All-American at Alabama, dad was also an Olympian and an All-American at Mississippi State in the triple-jump. Fastest guy on the field at all times at Trussville. Big time 7A football. I watched him play in every game but one. A big play waiting to happen and a threat to go all the way any time he touched the ball. He will be tremendous for us.
  13. Sometimes, I wish we would tell the announcers at away games that. At Sparkman, the poor guy struggled with it for three quarters before getting it right later on. Did a jig in the press box when he finally figured it out.
  14. You go to school here? Class of '04. Moved out, got married and moved back to get my kids in school here. I was on the team for the tail end of our last good period. Was a sophomore during Cox's senior year. Best of luck to your nephew. Family goes to every home game. We'll keep an eye out for him.
