This NMSU matchup reminds me so much of this game. Just saying the AU players have to prepare and focus properly, or a game like this can turn sideways in a hurry.

Michigan would be an outstanding poach for the SEC, if they're serious about leaving the conference over this.

19 TOs against TAMU? 20 TOs against Gonzaga? They force a lot on D but lose more on O. I hope this AU team is prepared to take advantage! And they shoot a very high FT percentage but not a great FG%, can't be bailing them out with cheap fouls!

Bowl selection is so convoluted! AU will most likely finish 9th in the conference: 5th in the West, and 4 teams in the East will probably have better conference and full-season records. We could finish 8th ahead of UK, if they lose their remaining games including at USCe. If we only win 1 more and UF somehow upsets LSU, Missouri, or FSU to make a bowl game, we may land in 10th. And I guess if Arkansas wins out they'd slot in ahead of us but they'd have to beat us and Missouri. The bowl selection process looks like this: 1. Playoff 2. Other NY6 bowls (maybe 2 here but projecting as 1 here) 3. Citrus 4-9. Pool of 6 bowls: ReliaQuest, Duke's Mayo, Gator, Music City, Texas, Liberty 10-11. ESPN Select bowls: Birmingham, Gasparilla If we beat Arkansas, we'll avoid Birmingham. Even if we lose to Arkansas, a few things would have to bounce our way but still a good shot to make a higher-tier bowl.

Win the turnover battle! That kept us in it against UGA and cost us the game against LSU last year. Check out the box score from that game--Robby threw for 300+ but we had 4 turnovers...brutal!

This team can be great with a top-tier offense and average defense, if they can avoid the turnovers that have plagued Auburn teams in the last few seasons.

There was a video over the summer of LSU players getting helmets with cooling jets in them. Did other teams use these? Could it have impacted their conditioning for a 4-quarter game?

1. What is the value of these NFL players' endorsement deals? That is the closest comparison with NIL. Not saying it's apples to apples, just the best comparator available. 2. What is the projected total compensation for those NFL players if they have an average year? I don't know about these 3 in particular, but many NFL contracts are laden with performance incentives alongside a relatively low base salary.

That they didn't accept the young man's choice might give some indication why he didn't want to share his thoughts with them before the announcement. Thankfully, no reason to worry about this kind of scenario for KJ.

One other note: if an auction ends in December, why engage in a bidding war against a deep-ppcketed suitor for the next 5 months? Wouldn't it be wiser to hold off on making a higher offer until right before the auction closes?

If Freeze hadn't come in and salvaged the 2023 class, it might have ended up in the 40s or 50s. It's really tough to project our final class ranking based on pre-Freeze years. We are also playing catch-up on recruiting this year, so our ranking at this point is relatively weak. We seem to be in a good position to close out strong. We may get a bunch of 3 star commitments in the next few weeks, with the top-tier players we're in the running for having later commitment dates.

I thought Bruce said he'll ONLY recruit top 30 guys who can play right away, otherwise they'll just leave after they don't get a lot of minutes in year 1. Ironically, the least heralded guy from the 2022 class is the only one staying.

If anything, Bruce hasn't been T'd up enough this year, with the way several games were called.

Wow, Bruce was HOT in the post-game radio interview. I've never heard him complain about the refs before, but he called them out 2 or 3 times just then. Since it's not my money, I love to see him come out and protect his players like that.
