Tubs never had a record better than 9-4 before jet gate. He was a descent coach, but definitely inconsistent. He hasn't been more than an 8-5 anywhere else he has been. I dont get the love obsession with guy. He was better than average, but nothing special.

Coach, after watching Stidham and our receivers not get it done (Stidham missing quite a few easy throws and Seth William's dropping a touchdown catch), I just dont ever see Coach Rain Man having a passing game that win the big game throwing. I know we beat Texas A and M a few weeks back, but man, I cant remember us winning a big one passing on a non gimmick play (we did beat Bama in 2013 on a Nm pop play). I dont know about you, but I'm ready to see this clown go and bring in a coach with a legitimate passing and running game.

Talent definitely exists out of high school. Obviously, all players need some development. Some more than others. Never said otherwise. Not all prospects are created equal though and not all can be developed into good to great SEC players. We need the kids who can be developed into stud players. If you look at our d line now, almost all were 4 and 5 star high school prospects. And we had our best d line in years. Coincidence?

I agree russell is good player, nfl talent, type we need to keep getting at d line to be successful.

Agreed. I just know we are going need nfl type talent to match those 5 star o lineman. Just logic really.

To be clear, big cat is not sure fire yet(needs to add weight). Rashad kennyon, justin thorton come to mind as undersized des who never panned out. Never said we need all five stars, but to have a great defensive line, i think you need a majority 4 and 5 star guys. We had one of the best d lines this year due to past recruiting of 4 and 5 star guys through 2016 mostly, which we need keep up. Seems your missing that point.

I dont need to hear anything. I make an objective assessment by reading what actually happened. They are kicking our ass as well as many others. We need RG and company to step up like they never have right now to keep getting the nfl prospect guys at d line.

I dont see any sure fire nfl talent there besides maybe Moultry and Big cat(if he puts on weight). Jibunor reminds me of a slew of undersized guys at d end weve signed over the years that never panned out. I dont see any ready made true d end guys with a body type like Davidson. We need those type guys imo. As for d tackle, which is my even bigger concern, making good progress is great, but it alone aint gonna get us the sec championship back. We need dominant players to beat the murders row competition we will now be facing in amen corner annually.

Anyone besides me wondering about d line recruiting for 2019? We killed it in 2016, but seemed to take a step back in the last 2 classes. Coynis Miller being the exception. Someone with insider knowledge please tell me this was by design.
