I think this is the best hire for the circumstance. Seem like a lot of people want to totally overhaul the offense. I think that waould lead to a down year when we have they have the personnel to have a good season. Improvement over what they had and try to build on last year. As long as Gus doesn't try to take over the offense, as he has in the past.

I hope this kid is awesome and eventually starts at AU. With that being said, there is something to be said at having kids that can be good backups with the potential to develop into a starter. He sounds like he has a ceiling, even if he is close to the floor at the moment. If he is a solid backup his entire career the scholarship will be well worth it. Glad to have him, and hope he is a great AU quarterback. War Eagle!

I do not see him stealing a championship from AU or anything even if he ends up being the best cb in college football. It is always a gamble but some coachs scout better than others and I would have to go with our curent coachs scouting over our last D coachs.
