My only gripes with TJ is his inability to sense and even see pressure when its right in his face. Sometimes you just have to secure the ball and take the sack or tuck it and run straight ahead for whatever you can get. Also when running he has the balance of an upside down triangle if running any direction besides straight ahead. Its like he went to the QB sliding school of Sean White when he tries to do that.... Looks awkward as hell. All that said if the Oline blocked worth a crap his weaknesses wouldn't be so glaring.

Its more about a connection to other men. Someone you can believe in someone you feel will lead you in the right direction.

Remember when Tennessee fans got Schiano fired before he ever stepped on campus.....could fans also ban together to demand Deion? Seems like a long shot but we should try.

I looked at the OC and DC earlier today and was impressed without looking at the assistants....great staff for a smaller program

Well one thing I can say is he is aware of the O-line talent deficiency Jackston St has compared to the SEC. He said that is the only thing keeping him from beating a team like Alabama.....I like where his head's at. Maybe that's a selling point....he gets to compete against Saban here.

I bet we'd have several transfers if he left but you can't worry about that. That would be the next guys responsibility to keep them.

I don't care if he can or can't coach as long as he is a leader of men he can find coordinators to head the offense and defense however he uniquely played both sides and may help baseball recruiting a smidgen too. It sure wouldn't hinder any sport having a celebrity head coach.

Any coach we hire is going to be scrutinized until they prove themselves and even then ppl will still scrutinize the head coach no matter who it is. It will just be less ppl when we win. I'm kind of worried he would choose georgia tech because of it being in Atlanta and a place he is familiar with. Hope some of our star power could help convince him to come here.....Bo, Charles, Frank from his generation.

I have to admit those are some good points @AUDevilbrought up but if we bring in Deion and win in recruiting and then win on the field those gripes will only be argued by a few. Having Deion would sure make this board a lot more fun regardless.

Are the new talent evaluators/scouts tied to Harsin's staff or are they a separate entity that we can use to help hire a new coach?

He could also get T Rob off that Bama staff and back to Auburn.

His offense improved from dreadful at Florida to mediocre at s carolina. Maybe it could be decent at Auburn with a killer defense. However I mentioned Bill O'Brien before the Harsin hire and still think he could be good here. He took a devastated Penn St program (post Sandusky) and made them a pretty good team after losing several star players due to sanctions.

I want someone with enough clout that they can make coach O our d-line coach. That can convince Grimes to leave Baylor to be our OC/o-line coach.

Watched the Pitt/W. Virginia game. It was good. Jt Daniel's looked good but his Oline didn't match up well with the Pitt dline. Still a tight game with the difference maker being the pick 6 but wasn't qbs fault. If I had known Penn st was playing I would have watched it instead. Also, unbelievable ok st allowed that many points. I think the score was 44-14 when I checked earlier.

I don't frequent the political boards but I'm a big MAGA supporter so when I do I tend to post in that direction. Racism still exists but it doesn't exist in one direction any more. I see it going in all directions these days and none of that is doing this country any good. I understand where all of you guys are coming from, even the ones facepalming my last post. Race could definitely play a role in Allen Greens exit. Could be donors weren't so giving to a guy that doesn't look like them but as I type that I realize I don't know their race. I only assume they are white because the only two I've seen or know by name are white. Could it also be that Allen Green was allowed to finish his contract because of the optics of firing a black man at a major university? I'd say both things are possible and would explain some of the head scratching info that has come forth. Don't know what to believe.
