You don’t see too many pastors light on their feet like Watson was. He was a heck of a pastor. He preached a dang good sermon against Bama in the title game that year. Saban definitely had a come to Jesus meeting that night. If it weren’t for the injuries, Watson would be up the with the likes of Maho-.... Chris Hodges, Steven Furtick, TD Jakes.

Maybe we are sliding him over to TE with all the TEs we’ve been going after haha. I hate to hear that about Sheffield. That kid has so much potential. I don’t really understand this move to get a backup QB. If we had a spot open, I figured we’d use it for a punter or roll it over to next class. However, the coaches know better than I do, and I’m happy to get anyone who wants to be at AU. Hope he balls out!

Looks like he’s friends with JK. Not saying it means much, but if we miss out on Brown and JK reclassifies and comes to AU, I’d be just as excited! In a dream world, we’d get JG, GB, and a true 5 (if someone transfers out) (I like the idea of Cardwell; don’t know much about his game, but I like how close he is with other AU players and how much he seems to love AU) for this class. Then in 2021, we’d bring in Kuminga, the Sanoga kid, and whoever else.

I watched him in the state championship live, and he impressed the mess out of me and my buddy. He made some elite type throws. We looked to see how highly recruited he was and were surprised to see he wasn’t that hyped up. He seemed to have the size and a little moxy to him. I would love if he chose to walk on here

I wouldn’t like this move at all. Nothing against the kid, but I just don’t think we need another receiver if we keep Pickens in the class. Pickens has the talent to play immediately.

And just imagine if 5* OT Wanya Morris would’ve been added to this class. That would’ve changed a lot of people’s perception of this clas, even though I still think it’ll be a really good class. On a side note, it makes me so mad that Tennessee is about to bring in 2 5* OTs in this class.

If we get him as a fullback, what position do we likely take away from with the last 9 spots?

I didn’t get to watch. I just figured it’d be a big atmosphere. Hoping Watford goes to Memphis or somewhere other than UAT

To make matters worse, Trendon Watford is on his Bama visit this weekend, so that atmosphere may help Bama with him.

I felt when we recruited him that that’s where he’d end up. Heck, he may could play anywhere on the defensive side and be solid. He was my favorite player from last years class. I remember there being talk of him being at DL, LB, and S.

If Hall or Jubinor move to LB, I feel much better about only having to get 1 more LB. Feel like we get Cox and Moore. So with those 2 DL and 1 LB (Brothers/Russel), we’d have 4 spots left? 3 OTs/OGs total (Putnam, Bell, GT OT???), 1 RB (MAR/Griffin), and 1 receiver (only because Gus just said he wanted another receiver)(also wonder if they’d just move Sheffield over there and try to get the DB Hampton)?

Random question, but whatever happened to that Tye Edwards kid we were looking at at one point?

This is one of my buddies that I graduated with at Daphne. Played with Tulane and then Samford, went undrafted, and then worked himself into a starting role his rookie season and has showed out since. Our team that season at Daphne had 5 guys who have played in the NFL. Ryan Anderson (bammer), TJ Yeldon (bammer), Michael Pierce (Samford), Torren McGaster (Vandy), and Eric Lee(USF). Most people know Ryan and TJ because they went to Bama, but Michael and Eric have had probably more productive NFL careers to this point. Eric started for the Pats last year. And with Michael and Eric, you have 2 just good, down-to-earth guys. Happy for them. They deserve it.

AUsome! War eagle! I wonder if this will cause the coaches to move one of the other 3 tackles inside and slide Horton to center. Either way, the depth at tackle looks a lot better now.

Saw an article somewhere saying Georgia has made a move for him.

He committed to that other school across the state. At first glance, it seems unfathomable why he would go there with Tua and Jalen there, but he actually seems like a level-headed kid. Supposedly, he loved ECU and never would've transferred if it wasn't for a family issue. He said he had to be close to home (guessing someone close to him is very sick). Bama is only 2 hours from Brandon, MS, where he's from. As much as I hate Bama, I respect this kid for doing what he had to do to be close to his family.
