I actually think if Wendell had the same team around him Jared did then it would be close but I’m definitely no expert. We don’t have a consistent shooter like Brown for sure but sometimes you can get that random guy that hits a hot streak. But to me, Chuma just brought something different that really put that team over the top. Again, no expert, just how I remember it. Earlier in the year I kept hoping maybe Traore would be that guy the light would come on for but he’s completely faded out of the rotation now.

I have had this thought before. But idk if there is a guy on this team that can fill the role of Okeke from that run. I know he missed the tail end of the run but he was certainly a large part of the spark that started it. When the 💡 came on for him it changed the whole dynamic for that team. At least that’s how I remember it. Of course I can’t remember what I did yesterday half the time so tifwiw

I agree with not liking to blame refs. But there are a couple things that can’t be ignored in the officiating of this game. The foul discrepancy is egregious. But the larger factor to me was the way the refs disrupted the game when Auburn would be in scoring runs. Multiple times they called ticky tac bs on auburn that busted their rhythm, however when A&M was doing the same to Auburn they could commit felonies in the paint. Just a totally jacked up game

The thing is don’t let it get to the point you need to get a handle on it. Call an even game and if you gonna let them play then let them play. Don’t wait until one team is taking advantage of that then decide to tighten up on calls.

@ellitor I appreciate all you do for this site. Glad you’re back posting. That said, don’t take this the wrong way. I think you’re over thinking this. We’re all just saying ‘25 is off to good start, has chance to be special. In order for that to happen we gotta win in state battles for guys like Henderson and Williams. And to me killing it would be getting about half of the top 15-20 players. That would be significantly better than we’ve done in a while since Uga, Clemson and others started poaching some of our top in state talent.
