  1. Clearly, we are just some hating individuals...
  2. I agree with that. This will prepare him and then some for what he will be seeing with the quality teams that he will face
  3. Hmm now find where I hated anywhere in my post? I provided the same stats, that you provided in that cute little link of yours. Also, tell me where I said he was the problem? I am pretty sure I said Chris Todd will give you a good, 8 win season. He won't win you many games, but he won't lose them either. He is the Brandon Allen of last year. If you want to trade your kidney in for that, be my guess. I want AU to run the table. So, I can deal with a 7 -8 win season right now, as long as we are competitive if it allows us to bring in the right QB to make us a contender in the future. IMO, I don't think any of the three QBs we have right now vying for the starting position, give us that ability. Also, he played worst against a 7-6 Kentucky team, which was not a blowout loss. At least, be accurate if you are going to try to call someone out.
  4. That is a very good question. I believe this team has much more star power than the 2009 team. That doesn't necessarily equate to more talent. For instance, I believe that 2009 offense was very talented. They had a very underrated O-Line, they had two dependable receivers in Darvin Adams and Zachary and had a lightning/thunder backfield with Tate/O-Mac. I do believe that this defense has way more potential than that 2009 defense and that will show up on the field. I will say that I am of the opinion that CGM offense is suited in a fashion, where you would need a dynamic player to allow for us to get over the hill. By dynamic, I do not mean DT. I believe a Chris Todd type of QB can be successful in a CGM offense, but we will continuously be at that 8-9 win mark. To me, if we had a pocket passer, who could make every type of throw without physical limitations (Was suppose to be jj) then we would be over that hill. Likewise, I believe CGM offense works very well with a true DT QB.
  5. Chris todd: 11 TDs/ O int against teams with a combined record of 11-25 including Furman. Chris Todd: 11 TDs/6 Interceptions against teams with a winning record Yes, Chris Todd will give you a good season like he did in 2009. An 8 win season.
  6. I honestly saw that and just scrolled down..excuse the fact that he said we would get 9-10 games EASY. It has never been easy in this division, including when we went on our NC runs.
  7. Yes, as a health professional, I would recommend you step away from discourse from a few posters if this is causing you to have hypertension. It would be a shame for you to have an aneurysm over something being posted on a message board.
  8. if a football forum thread leaves you feeling doom and gloom, then maybe you need to reconsider your priorities.
  9. Do people think SW is going to go against the 2s of clemson, Bama, UGA? I don't get why that matters. If SW is the presumable starter, that won't cut it.
  10. Apparently, this is pretty good. Maybe these former players were on the 2012 squad. The only way I can justify their conclusion.
  11. I think we have a lot of talent, especially on the defensive end. The only issue is a lot of those guys are unproven. I know what our secondary can do. I know there is a good chance we will have a strong special teams core. We have good individuals on the D-line, but I need to see how they play and produce as a unit before I crown them. A lot of talent at the WR end, but again pretty unproven. Also, it will be interesting to see the chemistry between them and the chosen QB. I am excited to see how KP plays between the tackle, but he is also a wildcard. So, yes the talent and potential are there, but we have never lacked talent and potential. Time to produce.
  12. I hope you are right. Like I said in my previous posts, we have a lot of question marks, all over the field. QB is just the easiest target to pick out.
  13. I mean you don't have to concede it. However, it is a real possibility based on all the unproven areas we have on this team. Not explicitly talking about you, but I think it is going to be a punch in the mouth for a few around here, if and when, the season does not meet the certain expectations we are accustomed to. I personally think at the very least, we should ,at the minimum, be an 8 win team, with our lowest of lows being 6-7 wins. I don't think it is ever as bad as it ever seems (2012), but I also do not believe that we should be giving the benefit of a doubt to a shaky offense or bad QB play, with two weeks give or take, spared before the season opener. If we were playing an okay team to begin the season, then I would be like "Okay, we have time to work the kinks out." We are about to play the National runner-ups, returning possibly the best QB in the nation on prime time T.V. If we are not prepared, we will get embarrassed out there.
  14. I think that is where you and I have a stark disagreement. Should we have to depend on our offense to win games for us? No. However, since 2010, this is specifically the position that AU finds itself in. As far as, these other teams with ? marks at QBs, I can only think of two who fall into our category, where we pretty much have ? marks at every other facet of their teams' dynamics. Arkansas and Miss. State, who quite frankly, we should be beating annually on talent alone. Every other team that we face has at least a proven commodity.
  15. I think people need to be realistic and understand that this team at its max could be a 7 win team. Most teams in this league have talent and potential. The bottom line is our talent on the offensive end is very unproven. Additionally, our QB play is shaky at best. Even, if we do see a stark improvement this year, the schedule is not favorable. We have a tough stretch early on. I am just hoping, we beat the teams we should beat and make every game as competitive as possible.
  16. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have the talent of the 2001 Miami Hurricanes.
  17. In all three of their losses, the other teams also dominated offensively. If you noticed, they all scored over 30 points. Kind of got to take that into consideration, seeing as they won every other game when the opposing team did not score at least 30 points. Really? They put up 40 against Bama and Oklahoma State. Put up 38 against Miss state and LSU. Put up 50 in a loss to Arkansas. Oh and yes, they did put up 70 against the lower tier teams. I would hardly call that stat misleading.
  18. Good catch. Typing on this mobile app is hell. Quality input, though.
  19. Ole miss averaged 40 points a game, while LSU averaged 32 points a game last year. Arkansas should've been a W, but the other two..you will have to do a lot more to win against them. Mississippi was giving up 23 ppg, while LSU was giving up 24 ppg. Not good enough.
  20. It shouldn't be this way. I am hoping for the best this year, but based on what is going on at the QB position, I am prepping for the worst. I still say we should get at least 7 wins.
  21. Go to :50 seconds. Probably the exact same thing, except he actually recovered it. Hoping you were being sarcastic.
  22. Makes me really ponder as to why we didn't give Jerod Evans a serious look..couldn't have hurt, in lieu of the addition of JF3.
  23. Yeah, but I heard SW did move the ball well towards the end. I am just perplexed, to be honest that we are in this position...Sounds like the defense and Pett did pretty good though.
  24. Apparently on the RANT and Twitter (not good sources). Neither did very well today. SW had two turnovers but moved the ball towards the end and JF3 had one as well. Again, not reputable sources, but all that is around. Apparently, SW did work with the 1s though and JF3 with the 2s
  25. I was speaking of consistent sweeps, more so. I clarified it in my second post. Thanks for the catch though.
