  1. We need a strong vault. I think we will move on if that happens. Our score is on pace to come close to exceeding the high score from the afternoon session. Could be a special weekend!
  2. The ladies are competing out of their minds right now! LET’S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. For what it’s worth: ESPN #16 (right behind Tennessee and Alabama; they list Arkansas #1) Fansided: #14
  4. AL.com says we jumped from 36th to 12th after this pickup (does not mention which scouting service). 3rd in the SEC behind Arkansas and Bammer
  5. Kessler signed an NIL deal with “Dunkaroos”. Not sure if that is reason for hope of his return, but interesting nonetheless.
  6. It has been a while since anyone posted on this topic, but I can start the 90’s. My freshman year was 1994, but my first three games prior to my first JHS game were doozies: 1990 Peach Bowl vs. Indiana: Stan White naked bootleg with 39(?) seconds left for the victory. Ricky Sutton tossed me his chin strap after the game. 1993 @ Vanderbilt: Huge goal line stand helped out in that victory. 1994 @ Ole Miss: Went with my folks. First time I think I ever saw my dad shoot the bird. It was towards an Ole Miss player after he was taunting our fans after a touchdown. Great times! First JHS game: 09/17/94 vs. LSU: Jamie Howard’s finest hour. HA! I’ve been to at least one home game every year with the exception of 2020. I have ticket stubs for every single one of those games except for a game I went to at Starkville in ‘96. Certain scores and plays escape me now, but the memories last forever!

  8. https://www.al.com/auburnbasketball/2022/03/jabari-smith-addresses-his-future-after-auburns-ncaa-tournament-loss.html Jabari’s post game comment
  9. https://www.volnation.com/forum/threads/we-should-have-had-a-revolt-when-we-got-a-3-seed.339058/ Meanwhile, this is the Tennessee fan forum currently. Cousin Eddie has made an appearance. Exactly what does a seeding revolt look like? 🤷‍♂️
  10. I figured as much. Clemson is only about 45 minutes from there so I didn’t know if maybe they checked out the game while on a visit. I actually drove through there on the way home. A nice campus with many similarities to Auburn.
  11. Caroline Lilley has us ranked in the top 10 (#7) and undefeated in SEC play. Auburn is the highest ranked SEC team. We beat Vanderbilt a couple of weekends ago for the first time in a very long time! Keep it going, girls!
  12. Was anyone at the game yesterday? I was and when I was standing in the concession line, I am about 95% sure I saw Pat Nix walk by along with his son who is going to Clemson. They were both dressed in Auburn apparel. Just curious if anyone else might have seen this.
  13. North Dakota State really is an underdog, because they’re not even in the tournament :)!
  14. I just wonder with Tennessee winning today, will they send Auburn away from Greenville and put Tennessee there?
  15. I apologize if I have missed something, but I thought we were supposed to have the sons of Wes Helms and Ben Sheets on our roster this year? I thought Helms went through fall practice. I don’t see them on the roster on the Auburn website. Any information would be appreciated. I
  16. One other thing I will say about Gobourne. When it came down to our final three floor performances, I felt this was where we were going to make our move. Sophia and Suni had great showings. When Derrian’s turn came up and they started her music early, that could have rattled her. But for her to come out and concentrate and do the routine that she did, I think that speaks volumes to her. And I also believe that this roster has others on it that can also handle that type of pressure. The 198.575 against one of the best programs for the last decade is testament to that.
  17. Folks, as somebody who attended that meet last night, I might go as far as saying that could arguably be the greatest regular season dual gymnastics meet of all time! As mentioned by others on here, both teams had the fourth highest score EVER! Two perfect tens for us, two for Florida. We had a chance for two more, but one of the judges saw things a little differently in each case. It happened to Florida as well, so as long as they were consistent, despite being disappointed, I am OK with that. I started attending meets around 1997. That was a time when 196.5 or higher was an outstanding job for us. I think we have set the standard now for many years to come. I appreciate the program bringing back alumni for nights like last night. And looking at this team down the road, I think there is to be much success. Groth, in my opinion, can be just as good, if not better than Lee. It will be tough to replace Gobourne and Watson, but we will be okay. I also want to tout that these girls are great individual human beings as well. I was with a friend who brought her seven-year-old daughter. I believe it was Gabby McLaughlin was up on the concourse and walking away from us when she must’ve seen her out of the corner of her eye. She stopped and came back for a photo opportunity which I know made my friend’s daughters night. Just an unbelievable night last night and one that will be talked about for a very long time. I can see this team getting to the final four, or super six, whatever they’re calling it these days, this year! Now let’s go finish it out in basketball in a couple of hours
  18. We beat Ole Miss and South Carolina at home. We split on the road. Kentucky loses at Fayetteville or Gainesville. We get the regular season championship without sharing. I think we win maybe one game in the SEC tournament and unless we figure things out, get ousted in the Sweet 16. The end of this season is reminding me of ‘99 when the same scenario happened. I saw a graphic on SEC Now where the 14 game losing streak in Gainesville is the 3rd longest in an SEC series in history. Not sure what is the longest, but we also have a 19 game losing streak at Lexington going back to the Reagan administration. I have a good feeling both will end under Pearl, but it is just so frustrating.
  19. Auburn Arena opened 589 weeks ago tonight. I would say this past week has been the most successful so far: Men’s basketball beats Kentucky (historically best team in the SEC) Women’s basketball beats Tennessee (historically best team in the SEC) Gymnastics beats Alabama (historically best team in the SEC along with Georgia) We are an Everything School! Let’s keep it going! WAR EAGLE!!!!!
  20. So awesome to see Cardwell, KD, Wendell and Jabari out there to support the women’s team. Dylan was getting some serious TV time. I guess the cameras thought that since this was a “big game”, he might lose the majority of his clothing for Coach Cal!
  21. First time we ended a season with 5 straight losses since Truman was President: 1950
  22. Maybe he needs to love himself more than he loves Auburn now.
  23. Does anybody know what hotel the team is staying at and when they are going to arrive there? I’m thinking about taking my son down for his first Auburn football experience and thought maybe he might have the opportunity to meet some players.
