In terms of roster-buiding: Gus was spitballing, and Harsin isn't worth discussing. Looks like Freeze is (as well as possible) finding the best pegs to fit in the actual holes. Who knows how well all this is going to go? Hard to say. But up to now- it's optimum. He's crushing it.

Would indicate that (1) We really are/were that bad off and (2) CHF knows it and is under no delusions. Last two guys were clueless about it. Gus spent 8 seasons still trying to build a team identity in week 3. Maybe a stud quarterback really would be better than a guy that fall-camped with the team. @DAG may have a point too- the next wave of recruits may have to be after the team and staff have demonstrated an uptick in success, money-talk notwithstanding.

You've got to be kidding. 72 was posting when this site fought tooth and nail in every thread about Gus. Straight up meet-me-in-the-parking-lot discussions around the clock. Currently all I see is a small percentage of folks being as diplomatic as possible while hinting that basketball might be sliding a little- met by folks ready to pull the plug and indict the whole internet because of 'post-72' negativity level? By the way- it's warranted. His tenure is turning into a perfect Gus analogy. Missing on recruits more, offensive woes, possible priority misaligment due to loyalty. Even the timelines match up- both coaches were here on our biggest days. Even the contracts play into the anology. The real difference is *nobody* in here has quit on BP. We love the guy. I'd go to war for him. But he's cracking the door for people to be saying stuff. So far nothing has been said that warrants people just declaring from some lofty place that this forum is bad.

This aint the year. Not sure what's so upsetting about it. We're a dollar short (no pun) at every single position across the board, yet still every opponent needs huge officiating help to squeek by us in their own gyms.
